Godden's going nowhere. Would cost a mint to replace
I might have agreed with that valuation of hamer at the start of the season, but I'd be seriously disappointed with that return after the season he's had (after the red cards). He's managed double figures for goals and assists (only one assist behind Giles), halved his number of yellow cards from last season, he's 3rd in the league for "big chances created", he's at or near the top in a lot of the average match ratings stats I've seen (interestingly so is Ryan Manning who's currently available on a free!) And has won 5 MOTM awards in his last 7 games! It wouldn’t be that much. 15 for Gyo 5 for Hamer I would imagine

If we go up. we don't have to let the likes of Gus' agent screw us totally with wages. We still have a year of his contract left, and let's say we upped his salary to 35k/40k a week, if he turned it down we could still keep him, and he'd remain on lower wages (which would be mad from his point of view, as he could pick up a career ending injury) We could afford to play a bit more hardball with the guaranteed PL money offsetting the loss of a transfer fee 12 months later.

Doesn’t feel that way with both of them but money talksI think If we go up hamer will just stick it out on his contract and run it down
You did see that it was posted by Boosh didn't you? That's got to be worth more than £5million?
Only PL experience I’d go for would be at CB to be honest see if we can pick up a cheap or free experienced player to fill the Fadz role. Fill the rest with cheaper foreign talent and young lower league or Prem U23 releases. Giles, BNC, etc.
Why? That’s relegation and a shite season of losses

This is the reason why parachute payments are a necessary evil. They need to tempt teams into trying to compete. Why? That’s relegation and a shite season of losses
Maybe. But maybe not, depends who we can pick up, there’s plenty of foreign players available at a fraction of the cost of established PL players of the same quality.
If you want to spunk every penny on trying to stay up, it’s a risky strategy. Better to keep doing what we’re doing just on a bigger scale. We’ve got very few players with extensive Championship experience before coming to us in our current team.
James Maddison please - come back home.
I think Brentford have the lowest published wage bill and have some ok. I’d suspect there are promotion bonuses in the contracts which last time was circa 50% - players will want premier league money to come. We have i think only 2 premier league loans so forget Cuffey
If we could sneak Dawson from wolves that would be a great bit of businessOnly PL experience I’d go for would be at CB to be honest see if we can pick up a cheap or free experienced player to fill the Fadz role. If we go up, I can see us signing Continental players we have never heard of, for a fraction of the price we would pay for domestic ones.

Not once they get relegated, there are clauses in all the Leicester players contracts that dramatically slash their wages if relegated.not a chance. He’ll be on £80K a week plus
Why would he accept them?We haven’t released our retained list so we may offer new terms.
That's what's going to happen regardless! Why? That’s relegation and a shite season of losses
If we are looking abroad the Japanese/ Korean market looks to be a potentially good one. Caught a bit of the Brighton/ Arsenal game last week and Mitoma looked a hell of a player. I believe Celtic have successfully targetted signings from that part of the world too.

Of course there will be other Premier league sides that will look to sign him, with Tottenham, Newcastle and West ham rumoured to be interested.
Got a point but did you see us in a play-off final anytime soon.Fair enough. He’ll get interest from clubs in the top 6-8 won’t he so the only way he’s joining us again is probably if we’re in the top flight and he’s in his twilight years. The only way it’ll be sooner than that is if we quickly become a top 10 Prem team which I can’t see anytime soon.

Polo or Fox's Glacier?Godden's going nowhere. Would cost a mint to replace
Why you need a squad cap. Ridiculous the number of young players nowhere near the top teams first XI on wages even a lot of Championship clubs can't afford and then being loaned out. We need to get this talent filtering down the pyramid and letting others teams benefit financially from their progression. All good players and imo would be good additions to our squad BUT wages ? I don’t know what their individual deals at MU are but take fallen hero Mason Greenwood who United are looking to loan out I’ve read he is apparently on £75k a week. Getting young stars from the top premier clubs it’s high wages and they are a bit of a risk.
