If this is true then they’ve broken rules and we can sue them. You can’t speak to a contracted players like this.

it’s been common place for years now …. The club won’t have any issue with Vik’s agent trying to maximise interest. The only conflict comes when the preferred destination of the player don’t meet the clubs transfer fee aspirations but another club does.

if Vik is going then frankly we need this moved along at a sensible pace.

I’d be amazed if we are not having informal conversations too with key targets.

I remember us missing out on Trevor Francis. Those were the days. Relying on CET , The Pink and occasional glimpses at national newspapers.

None of this 24 hours ifs, buts and maybe’s…

But it keeps me off the street.

On the plus side, this sort of open speculation and agent talk might result in a quicker sale. Realistically, we all know he's going, so I'd rather get the transfer done early, than drag and complete late in August.

I don't know, tapping up seems to be perfectly acceptable these days.

Man Utd seemingly agreed personal terms with Mason Mount before submitting a bid for him.

Gone on for years, just a bit more suttle nowadays with agents etc.

This is not a made up story.

It's not just Football, it happens in all sports.

For me its very believable that Gyok and his agent have spoken to Sporting.

Have to say though, it's not... great what he says, but if he had the chance to go in January and stayed because the club asked him to, he certainly didn't let a missed move demotivate him!
Slightly shitty words from Vik tbf, hopefully he fucks off soon and we reinvest. Including a new contract for our actual best player. 20k a week should do it

Agreed. As brutal as it is, I don't care where his career goes afterwards. Most important thing is getting as much for him as possible, even if it bends his nose out of joint.
If he decides he doesn't want to go somewhere, then the year contract does actually become a thing, however.

It’s not a coincidence the noise from Sporting Lisbon in recent days and now Vik saying his price tag is too high, that’s it’s a coordinated move.

Anyway, no need for people to get annoyed. We know he was leaving. So let agents, other clubs say what they want.

Ultimately we will decide how much is the best price for Coventry.
