Price seems to keep decreasing the more clubs are reported to be interested in signing Vik.
Exactly which makes no sense. Next week we’ll be lucky to sell Vik for 2M. Heard Leeds now want Hamer. So tired of all the speculations. Just tie up both Hamer abd Vik, point a gun at them and and tell them to extend their contracts for another 3 years. Job done.

Get Vik vibes watching this striker. 21 and plenty of development opportunity to make him a good asset. £2m should do it.

Slovenian media were adamant he was going to Celtic for €4m prior to their manager decamping to Spurs. Now there’s talk of Rangers being interested but I can’t find any mention of English clubs (let alone us) being in for him.

Looks good against his opposition.

Nice to see Football fancast have got top reporters on the case...

Coventry boss Tony Mowbray has described the Sweden international - who aged just 25 still has his best years ahead of him - as a "powerful" striker in the mould of arguably Europe's deadliest striker, Erling Haaland..

In other news, Everton seem to have decided that they can get Vik for £11m (fek right off)

What a surprise. A Texan thinking a gun is the answer to a problem ;)

Because he wouldn't get a work permit.

Maybe.
He would find it as easy/difficult to get a work permit for England as Scotland though and there is plenty of talk about him going to Celtic (and now Rangers).

Full international, European experience, and apparently capable of commanding a decent fee.

Nope. Look at the amount of foreign signings Scottish clubs make. This is because they have an exceptions panel for any signing. For an English club to even make an appeal the player must achieve 10-14 points. Vipotnik would get about 6 points - no chance he can move to England.

Wonder how well Vik got on with Graham Potter? Rumours going round that Moyes might walk from West Ham on a high after an otherwise shite season and I'd put my money on them getting Potter in.

Not sure Potters style of play would suit him it is very slow passing.

Why would Moyes choose to leave West Ham? Winning in Europe will only raise their profile and make them more attractive to potential signings. Sounds like one of those rumours you can swiftly assign to the 'bullshit' category.

I dunno probably BS but he has been getting shit all year for not playing progressive football. Maybe leave on a high get another good job elsewhere where he is appreciated.

I don’t think he will now…yet, but when the premier sacking season starts about October time he might be looking over his shoulder.

See Portuguese journalist on Twitter posting again this morning that Gyok is Sportings priority this summer. Would be a terrific move for him imo.

If we don't play hardball now when there's about 8 clubs interested, then I give up.

He will go somewhere but ffs do not accept the first offer we get.

There's no reason why there shouldn't be a bidding war, but some of the comments I keep hearing are concerning (fans not the club in fairness).

I have no idea how astute we will be, but all the comments floating around akin to 'snap their hands off' regarding that offer from Sporting are small minded to say the least. He's on the radar of multiple clubs, many with money to spend. The biggest asset we have had for decades. One of the best players in the Championship, and a goal record many teams would kill to have from one of their strikers. The offer should be as greedy as possible, and provide us with a set of funds that can get us into the PL. Nothing less.

King is nobody's fool when it comes to running a business that much is obvious. I was impressed by how quickly he moved with the comms after the Luton weekend, for example.

His agent will have some sway we can’t just say “go there”
