It's part of the summer repertoire:

Are Coventry well supported for the size of the conurbation?
ACL / Higgs / Council / SISU etc
Is the SPL worse than the Championship?
I think its more is the SPL worse than league 2 at this point.

Shame we he can’t go to Motherwell and we use it as a sweetener for Max Johnston, RWB who’s highly rated and scores goals too.

Looks like an interesting option for RWB. Only 19 and could grow into a decent starter under Robins. He's out of contract too apparently.

Both Celtic and Rangers have full fledged internationals who play regularly for their countries. How many regular internationals are there in League 2, who play for countries who make an impact on the international stage? I don't think Jodi Jones counts.

outside the top 2 it is significantly worse. Teams there go shopping in the NLS/NLN and below.

Annoyed it took that long to unearth an SPL apologist, usually they are like flies on shit on this forum.

One of our main midfielders turned Rangers down in January after we had accepted an offer as it would be “a bad move for his career” and it wasn’t Hamer.

And usually get upset very easily at the slightest ribbing...

That's fine. I made a point about Celtic and Rangers, nothing about the SPL. Hence "SPL" not mentioned in post. Thanks for the intelligent contribution (y)

My original post was a slightly tongue in cheek, although actually not that far from the truth, dig at the SPL... it was you that took it off subject and got overly touchy about the old firm. Don't get upset though you're definitely not alone in this forum.

Shame it didn’t work out for him here for whatever reason (probably just not very good). Glad he’s been added to the deadwood posse, he was lingering around like a bad fart for way too long.

No interest in Scottish football, don't watch it and no Scottish ancestry. Merely a response to your incorrect statement. Hardly outlandish enough to be tongue in cheek.

I guess they don't all work out. I enjoy ripping the SPL to shreds as much as the next man but you'd think playing in there at 18 he might have had something about him.

FFS. Is there any chance we could strengthen our squad 🤔

You're hard work. In reality it probably has a couple of Championship standard sides, couple of league 1 standard sides and a handful of league 2 standard sides. On the whole it is absolutely not better than league 1 that's for sure.

I'd also like to know how outlandish something has to be to be allowed to be considered tongue in cheek for future reference. To help avoid such boring conversations.

I don't disagree, but that's hardly a stretch from my original statement. Almost makes the resulting posts appear pointless.

Shall we just agree to stop talking about the SPL as we're becoming the very thing people mention further up in the thread.

The oddest thing was he was supposed to go back on loan there immediately after signing for us, but didn't because we were short of bodies and he was needed for us... of course we never saw him!

I sometimes wonder if that immediate loan back might have helped him a bit, just stop the expectation if nothing else.

Given he had played nearly 20 SPL games before we signed him at 18, I honestly expected it wouldn't be too soon before he was challenging for a 1st team place, but in the end he never even got close. This move seems best for all concerned.
