Over the last few years, I'd have thought we'd have been longing to be typical!Do we have to be typical?

Versatile players are fashionable atm and Robins has deployed out WBs in the box formation as well as WB. For example, Wilson-Esbrand, Maatsen and perhaps even Giles too all played on the left.
A trickier, more attacking minded WB could add a dimension to our playing style we currently don’t have.
It's a great option to have, because you've got an attacking wing back on the right for teams you want to push forward against, and you have someone who can cover the 10 role behind the forwards, and possibly even switch to the opposite flank.
Yes.Can you take a player on trial who's contracted to another club?
You can, I believe we did it with Denzel Slager/another Dutch striker Pressley took on trial way back when. Can you take a player on trial who's contracted to another club?
Anyone else literally fucking shudder when they read thisYou can, I believe we did it with Denzel Slager/another Dutch striker Presley took on trial way back when.
I honestly don’t remember him. Just completely blank! It’s happened with quite a few players.Anyone else literally fucking shudder when they read this
If you ask them first, Yeah. Otherwise, probably not. FIFA might want a word. Can you take a player on trial who's contracted to another club?

I don't think you give a player you're paying money for a trial.

I was pretty disengaged with supporting us at this stage because I was at Uni and we were shit…
Looking back, it’s satisfying that we’re that club that’s on the way up after going through the dark ages.
Common usually when they are free agents. Cant imagine a team potentially selling a player for a million agreeing to a trial before they get the sale doneWe have new scouts. Who maybe want to test the water with players. Esp as we have a hit and miss with signing players from international leagues.
Pretty common for players to do turning/fitness before signing esp in off season.
Wasn't Jordan Clarke played upfront in this game as well? We've come a long way!I remember going to watch us on a freezing cold and wet Tuesday night at Leyton Orient.
A 16 year old George Thomas started up front and Denzel Slager came off the bench. Think we lost 2-0.
Good lord that was grim.
Absolutely. I’d have reservations about his defensive capabilities being 5”7, but there was a clip of him being quite dogged in defence which is a sign he could be useful as a WB. If he’s left footed that would suggest he could play either side for us so that extra versatility will be valuable for us.
We ought to beef up with our central defenders though. Da Silva being 5”4 and Sakamoto being 5”7 could make us vulnerable from set-pieces.

Was that not Connor Thomas? We have done it. Cian Harries went to Liverpool

'No limit' by 2 Unlimited. Piece of piss...
Tatsu, Sakamoto
Sakamota
Tatsu, Sakamoto!! (Repeat)
Says in an interview 'call me Tatsu' (for short)
If you want to beleive its a trial thats fine but i would be amazed if Oostende had allowed him on trial before any transfer. Why risk injury to your most saleable asset befre the deal is confirmed? Not on this report
Reds let Harries return to Coventry
Harries joined the Reds on trial and played for the U23s against Bangor Citywww.liverpoolecho.co.uk
But could also have happened. so looks more common than we think
Remember the days when Nathan ecclestone was partnered with Kwame ThomasI remember going to watch us on a freezing cold and wet Tuesday night at Leyton Orient.

Ellery Cairo has been mentioned on here today, he was a real dangerous wide player wasn’t heI’d totally forgotten about Eccleston.
Just googled him – a striker who finished his career with 8 goals.
Prolific!
