It's just singing songs. You're over thinking.I've always been one for singing for the team/club.
But hero-worshipping individual players has never been one for me. They come and go.

Its just to create atmosphere and big players up in the moment. No one is coming back in five years to check that you still think Matty Godden is super.
I do still dream of a team of Gary Breens though.
Even Jamie Allen babyPost-match at Boro when each player stepped up to dance to their individual song was the single greatest example of connection between the team and SBA I’ve experienced in 25 years of following them.
Infinitely better than …… and it’s “insert team here“ “insert team here” FC, they’re by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen
Because its more acceptable for a kid to sing them but he gets to bask in his small time fame like the hattersWhy does he constantly force his kid to sing songs for social media? I can barely force mine to tell me how their day went

Rite of passage. I still have a load of tatty autograph books from when I used to stand outside the players' gate with my grandfather. Probably got 100 Tommy Hutchisons and Mick CoopsMy daughter adores (won't last long if he goes to Leicester) Callum Doyle, but we did the normal way of meeting him, and waited after the game for the players to leave and asked if he could say hello to her and have a picture
Imagine a hundred Tommy Hutchisons – the stuff of any fullback’s nightmaresRite of passage. I still have a load of tatty autograph books from when I used to stand outside the players' gate with my grandfather. Probably got 100 Tommy Hutchisons and Mick Coops
Be really surprised if he went to Porto after all the chasing sporting Lisbon have doneSo if the rumour that Everton came in for Vic, essentially we then asked about Simms in exchange, Everton got told Vic is going to Porto, then we signed Simms anyway? Got to love that.
Out of the mouths of babes. I'm with your 9 year old on this one.My nine year old shock his head and said that is shit (I know bad parent picked this language up on away days)
One day this lad is going to out his dad and tell the world he made him do it
It isn’t me. I’ve never had a problem with yourselves, unless we’re playing each other, or scraping out a relegation or promotion battle together, you’re pretty much insignificant to me, has I’m sure Barnsley are to 100% of Coventry fans.

We love Barnsley to be honest - pretty much the same as Preston love us, it’s the guarenteed 3 points at home…It isn’t me. You stupid, stupid c**t.What are the odds he does his ACL on the way out from signing
You stupid, stupid c**t.
Probably our second best player now the loan lads have gone back and Andersen has buggered off, except him to be captain if he stays, he’s developing into a good un, came on leaps and bounds last season, after an indifferent start to life here at Oakwell in the championship, he’s one of two or three lads that would have really benefited from promotion last season had we got it.What’s this Kitchen lad like?
What's your thoughts on him staying or goingProbably our second best player now the loan lads have gone back and Andersen has buggered off, except him to be captain if he stays, he’s developing into a good un, came on leaps and bounds last season, after an indifferent start to life here at Oakwell in the championship, he’s one of two or three lads that would have really benefited from promotion last season had we got it.
The owners of our football club are essentially footballer farmer’s, they buy young players, and coach’s, employ young fitness coaches, medical staff, analysts, scouts, CEO’s and so on, with the sole purpose of developing them, allowing them to grow in their respective roles, then sell them on for a profit at the first sign of interest, If you want him he’s yours, no doubt about it. We’ll pretend we don’t want to sell him for a few months, to get the price up a few quid, and identify a replacement, but he’s yours if you want him. What's your thoughts on him staying or going
Was meNot individual player related but I do remember leaving Highfield Road around 1980 ish and Infront of me there was a father with his son who I guessed was around 5 years old.
I heard the young son say "We shit on the Villa dad didn't we". Made me chuckle
