Joey Barton's comments after Thomas asked to have his loan cancelled by Bristol Rovers in January 😳😬😬

"The manager added: "Not only that, I’ll level with you, we’ve had enough of him as well. He is a young player and he came in and did well, but virtually a goal a game and he was causing a lot of issues."

Sounds like a load of old flannel from Joey Barton to be honest.

I'm actually pleased we're spending a bit of money, just hope we're dipping into the Vic profits rather than Gus is half out the door. Or...if we've got this kid does it mean we aren't in for McNally ... so Gus is staying?

Making my head spin. Must lie back and let others worry.

Welcome anyway Bobby, hope you turn out to be a dazzler.

Simms 3.5 to 8
Sakamoto 1.2
Collins ??
Thomas 2
Lati 500k (compensation)

Not used to this

How much did we get up front for Vik? 17 wasnt it?

add on the play off shite and Maddison cash, another 3? So say 20 Million

Weve up front now probably spent around about 6 Million?

Still got loads of cash left, were basically Chelsea when Abramovich came in

Looks good to me, about the going rate i would suggest. Stop moaning pls.

Agreed. Didn’t Burnley pay £2m for McNally after a season in L1, yet some seem to expect a lad who’s come through the ranks at a Prem club with similar league experience to be a load cheaper 🤷‍♂️. Strange logic

If Robins and recruitment team like the look of him that’s good enough for me.

Can’t believe some people were expecting us to be able to pick up McNally for £2m or less though 😂

Would imagine, based on this fee, that Burnley would probably want £4-5m for McNally.

McNally was signed from League 1 Oxford and only managed a few sub appearances for Burnley before going on to be crucial to our promotion push…

I went to Barnsley v Sheff W and it turns out to have been quite the scouting trip hahaha…

Have we had millions to spend for a while then?
We'd done well enough without spending money on that level.
Hamer, Sheaf, O'hare, Gyokeres etc.

Don't get me wrong I'm delighted that we can spend big money (by our standards) but it's a hell of a lot for a kid who's only been tested In league 1.

It is and it isn't. These days you pay for potential. Plus mcnally cost similar from a similar experience level

None of these had played regularly above league 1 when we signed them though.

If Robins os happy to pay £2mill for him then got to to trust him. Hope this is as well as Mcnally and not the number 2 option
