Someone on the Facebook group now saying we have agreed a fee for Vente
Done deal according to my ITK
He also said Kitching is close and when Gus goes, Callum Styles will be his replacement.
Take him in the squad for sure, but Gus still has to stay.Actually, Styles isn't a bad CM. No where near to Gus in talent but he'd certainly offer something to the squad.

Probably just lifting it off the same people on Twitter.Someone on the Facebook group now saying we have agreed a fee for Vente
what, like Martin Waghorn, MaGuire....We should start a league table of ITK's
We could have playoffs and relegation!
All I know is that MR doesn't tend to sign 28 year olds or older, and he prefers young ambitious players that are hungry for success and willing to work hard. He also doesn't pay sky high wages, and looks to recruit players that can potentially return a profit.
If you apply the above rational to any rumour, you can quickly rule most out as BS.
Also any rumour that stems from Alan Nixon should be treated with suspicion.
Old news Gibbo, get with the programwhat, like Martin Waghorn, MaGuire....
Waghorn was a good signing on paper. Had a good pedigree, had scored goals in a poor Derby side etc. Sometimes these things just don't work out. You could equally say that Fadz didn't really fit the profile when we signed him but where would we be without himwhat, like Martin Waghorn, MaGuire....

Doyle, McFadzean, James, Waghorn etc shows he recognises the need for some experience alongside kids. All I know is that MR doesn't tend to sign 28 year olds or older, and he prefers young ambitious players that are hungry for success and willing to work hard. If I'm wrong shoot me down but wasnt he rumoured to be shown round the CBS when the squad were away in Portugal?
Also other championship sides were doing similar
Fair enoughIt was fake news from Holland.
This Vente talk tonight is all made up rubbish.
So everything I read on here isn't gospel ?I can’t deal with how thick some of our fans ours. It’s just the same people repeating their own made up ‘news’ with the same people then believing it and passing it on. So brain dead.
Not unless it’s from GIMOC or Saddlebrains, 100% hit rate between them two.So everything I read on here isn't gospel ?
Is GIMOC back on holiday ? Miss his positivityNot unless it’s from GIMOC or Saddlebrains, 100% hit rate between them two.
I think that the joke mate, or am i missing your sarcasm lolHe said Hamer signed a new deal and Yates was at ryton?
His Grandad.Alike aren’t they.

Sisu have moved on, there's a new King in town.
The point was that the post took an absolutist stance by saying that Robins didn't buy older players, there was no conditional clause saying he only buys good older players. He clearly does buy older players when it suits or in desperationWaghorn was a good signing on paper. I still don’t think Waghorn was a good signing on paper and said so at the time:Waghorn was a good signing on paper. In that first Championship season Robins seemed to accept the we were short of experience when he brought in Matty James. The side's been a bit more balanced since then. Shame that Wags didn't workout, I always felf he was just a soft goal away from finding some form. The point was that the post took an absolutist stance by saying that Robins didn't buy older players, there was no conditional clause saying he only buys good older players. My post did say that MR "tends" to not buy older players. That's certainly the case if you look across all his signings. The odd exception was possibly due to having no money available to pay a transfer fee. Or needing some experience to help out in key areas. The point was that the post took an absolutist stance by saying that Robins didn't buy older players, there was no conditional clause saying he only buys good older players. Do we have evidence that he was taking home £13k? I've not heard that before. If true then I agree it does change my view of the signing somewhat.I still don’t think Waghorn was a good signing on paper and said so at the time:
1) we had Godden as an experienced striker, Walker, Tavares etc as backup.
2) he took up a big chunk of wage budget that could have been used elsewhere in the team more effectively.
3) Eg, Using the Waghorn reported 13k a week by giving (an at the time younger and doing ok late in the previous season) Biamou £3k and having £10k per week for a defender and a midfielder or a striker in the Gyok age range would have been better.
4) 13k per week on someone who would never command a transfer fee was quite mad. Get the “look at Fadz, Look at Kelly” argument but I don’t think for one minute they command £13k per week.
So, as I said at the time and still maintain, Waghorn was a strange signing under the circumstances and given that we were in SISU budget times.

His legs had gone. He could t keep up with our transitions. One goal wasnt changing that.In that first Championship season Robins seemed to accept the we were short of experience when he brought in Matty James. The side's been a bit more balanced since then. As good as in the bag then. Not a player we’re interested in according to Andy Turner.
His Grandad.
Tbf to Turner he’s usually spot on when he says we aren’t interested in someone. I remember he said it pretty early with the Knoepper guy we were supposedly signing for weeks last season and got quite a bit of stick for it.As good as in the bag then.

The only thing Turner knows is when we’re not in for a player. Only thing the club tells him.Not a player we’re interested in according to Andy Turner.
