I didn't see this apparent upturn in spirit at the Carlisle game - on the contrary the guys were utterly pathetic (barring McGoldrick).
Anyone who sees a 6-1 drubbing as even acceptable yet alone a good performance either doesn't understand or doesn't care about football!
If you are happy at 6-1 drubbings you can get them week in week out at virtually any council park throughout the country - for free!
As professionals, I expect as an absolute minimum that they play for 90 minutes - a bare minimum!
I cannot remember 1 single game all season where the guys have played a full 90 minutes.
I am sick and tired of listening to the typical yadda yadda of about 5-10 people going on how we have turned a corner and that mr is definitely ther right man - based on what? He has a drubbing, one lucky win, an awful loss and a pathetic draw! These same people were calling for Shaw's head with the same record!
I have yet to see any encouraging signs from MR and the gain against MK Dons only enforces that opinion. Worse he started making excuses for the guys in his interview. Remember on his job interview he claimed there was not only quality throughout the squad, but he had analysed the team for weeks beforehand.
Indeed - he was so inspired by the depth of quality that he immediately brought in 4 players! Forgive me, but that implies that indeed their is NOT a depth of talent in the squad!
I just have a vision of this going horribly wrong and in a very quick time frame.
There is no question that anything less than not just a win but a convincing win against bournemouth is essential. Anything less and the fans will be perfectly valid in raising questions about MR.
I for one thought all of the final 3 were wrong, and nothing in the meantime has shown me any different!
There is a reason no one picked mr up last season!
