About the best team we could put out minus Wright, would like to see him and Simms get the time together tbh. (Apologies to Evo)

Agreed, he lacks the discipline, just watch the Leicester game where he was out of position every time they played out from the back. Can’t help thinking his best position would be playing off one striker and playing 3 in midfield behind him (Tats, Eccles, Kelly until we get the Gus replacements in).

Not forgetting Sheaf rather than Kelly

Really disappointing for all of our new Japanese fans and also our new American fan base. Travelling all that way for their idols to be on the bench.

Coventry/Boro

I have to go Coventry at the current trading price of 2.48/2.50 - that price seems to be based on last years price as I said last week Boro are at least 6 players down from last year's team. Players that haven't really been replaced or not with same quality. I know Coventry have lost a couple of key players but they have invested more back at present. If we said the teams were equally matched at present Coventry should be around 2.20. I took them @ 2.58.

Was hoping to see Simms and Wright. It's a £14m strikeforce. Calls of 'Wright is not fit' no doubt, but not buying that tbh.

Aside from that, pretty much what I was expecting.

Expecting a defeat today with no Hamer and the new signings still settling in. Hopefully we get a replacement sorted quickly and get up to speed.
Yes don’t feel so great about this match on the heels of Hamer leaving. But if the team can somehow feed off the fans or all the pep talks I’m sure MR, AV, DL have probably given and pull off a win that would instill some much needed confidence and get us off the mat. C’mon Sky Blues!!!

Other than Godden, it’s our strongest team.

Bench has two game changers, so relatively happy all things considered.

Still more to come in - we’ll have a strong squad by the end of August.
