No, don't think so - there is a separate "GIMOC" account (which is very different to JDs) on twitter.
Incidentally, a couple of others are adamant (supported by JD) that Hamer would have, and wanted to sign a new contract a couple of weeks back for 25k p/w but the club dithered on it.
I know one of the lads who JD claims "couldn't be closer to the situation" and he is a decent lad who I can't see attention seeking/making stuff up.
For discussion- if anybody is bothered - see tweets;

It's all guesswork. Around 2 weeks ago the figure was widely quoted as £20000 he wanted.
Now it's rumoured we met his demand but it was too late, doesn't sound like he wanted to stay that badly.

So he would have stayed then.

£5k a week for 3 years is £750k. Absolute peanuts really. Could easily waste that on a player that flops. Player’s value would have been much higher too.

Oh mate I just don't like them

There's a small cluster of clubs I have nothing good to say about and they are one.

Yeah. Firstly those dirty Warnock teams of the 90s and 00s, with chief dirty buggers like Chris Morgan and Paddy Kenny. Secondly the scything of Lameiras which wasn’t even deemed a foul. Thirdly nicking Fleck. Fourthly chanting in favour of SISU during the worst season in living memory. Fifthly tapping up an impressionable Dutchman on the eve of the first home game.

They can get in the bin. I see that even 155 year old Roy Hodgson managed to get the better of one of their players on the touch line today. Good for him

Its a very strange career move for him , Sheff Utd don't really play good football and will seriously struggle this season .
I suppose the hope is he plays well enough to secure a move to another premier league side

He will use it as a platform even though they will get relegated. I suspect he has a relegation clause inserted. I think what’s telling is that no major club in the Prem or Europe made a move for him like they did for Vik. There are flaws in his gameplay and it will be interesting to see how effective he is in the Prem.

His stats are skewed cause his pass completion is always low , though this could be argued that it's because he is always looking forward and for an incisive ball

I can see it. He’s a big fish again and will likely get set piece duty and the right to roam about being Gus, he does well in a team with its backs against the walls TBF.

I'm the same, I don't like them at all. Whenever I've watched them, they've been big and played shit dirty direct football.

For the record the other members of my shit list are Forest, Cardiff and West Brom.

Their style seems to survive throughout time and multiple managers. Just a shithouse club.

Sunderland, Leicester and Birmingham for me. Although I could easily expand it out a bit.

If Hamer wanted to stay we would have publicly said it, he didn't. He wanted to move on but also wanted to be liked by the people around him. Nothing wrong with any of that but dont try and put it out so its the clubs fault. Just be a man and say you wanted to go.
100% correct. At no point has Hamer, his agent or Robins said that Gus wants to stay. If he had wanted to stay he would have let that be known and used his fan support as leverage in the contract negotiation. He didn’t. We move on.
