The thing that's pissed me off most in all this is I told my dad before they announced matchday prices I'd get him his ticket for the first game we come up for this season for his Father's Day present. 32 bastard quid!

What am I reading ? Just absolute bollocks tbh

It’s been shown again and again that very few home fans will ever pay £25 for a kids ticket. Those that do are likely to be those where cost isn’t a concern.

I think they should advertise the JSB benefits more. But we’re talking about 14-17 year olds who are perfectly capable of getting a part time job and going to cat C night games if they need to.

I think they should make kids tickets affordable full stop ✋️.. that's the end of it really

The only place they were affordable were the 4 blocks that sold out rapid

Why are you arguing for the sake of arguing , the entire thread has been pretty much about how kids prices are not good .. not sure why you've argued all the way if you agree they are shit ?

All I’ve argued against is the overreaction and the dismissal of any solutions.

JSB memberships will help with most of the kids we’re talking about

Is great and the family zone

I think the biggest issue is the Family Zone went so quick and lots of people (myself included) couldn’t take advantage.

But that’s easily solvable by not reducing adult tickets and keeping kids free/cheap. Then it’s not worth buying a kids ticket just to get the cheap adult ticket and those that go are more likely to be kids actually interested.

And the JSB package.
The jsb package is 50 quid before buy a ticket .. it still works out expensive if you go regular , you'd need to pay almost 650 quid to make it cheaper over the season with an adult season ticket included

And an adult is capable of planning in advance. Anyone that short on cash won’t be rocking up for a day out with no planning anyway.

We’re talking about an absolutely tiny number of people, if any at all that this really disadvantages. Even the loudest about it on the forum admit it doesn’t affect them. Just getting offended on behalf of an imaginary third party.

Planning in advance? You thought you’d got your season ticket then realised you hadn’t paid for it!!

If someone decides they want to take a couple of kids to watch our club, it shouldn't cost them £87. I don't see how people can argue otherwise.

I don’t think they will backtrack on the price. They have already backtracked once and won’t want to do it again. Maybe they could say the JSB membership would be valid for two seasons that may help.

I'd hate to think my 2 adult sons would deem 32 bastard quid was a lot for a Fathers Day present.

The fact that they buy me fuck all and I'm lucky to get a card has nothing to do with it. 😂

Start casually talking about your will. That normally makes kids more generous to their parents :ROFLMAO:

There you go again Ash, having a pop at season ticket holders. The price increase in season tickets, was a bit eye watering as well.
The adult match day prices are too high, not excessive but still too high.
Kids however are excessive and they need to have a rethink on these if not this season, then definitely next.
We have got to get kids in as cheap as possible, Someone mentioned a larger family zone with higher prices for adults and free kids . Maybe that would work.
I only have a pop back at those who think that match day prices should be £20 yes £20 more than early bird STs match day prices .
As I’ve said before, I had STs for 20 years, fair play to you all, proud of ya ! Alas I can’t justify that now living out of the UK for half the season. I do love the sun though 🌞☀️🕶️

Look , it's a simple concept this entire argument , I don't care if the club does a JSB , a season ticket with your nan for 300 quid ...

Matchday prices for people without memberships under the age of 10-14 shouldn't be 25 quid ..

What on earth is wrong with people
Indeed, even with a £50 JSB membership it's still £25 a game pro rata until you go to more than 5 games and even then only reduces marginally. I

I actually suspect the reason king made it as much as £25 for children and gave the equivalent of £179 of money to families of home fans in vouchers (based on Cat A savings) was due to abuse of 'child' tickets in the away end. It seems to be something he gets very upset by.

For away fans Coventry is now undeniably one of the most costly away games for families.

There are £179 worth of savings in the JSB pack based on Cat A prices?

There are currently 7 Cat A matches

JSB cost £50

7 x Cat A JSB tickets (7 * 15) = £105

Total: £155

7 x under 18 tickets = (7 x 25) = £175

Saving based on just Cat A is £20 or £3 per game, marginal like I said

Under what assumptions? Child attends every match of the season?

On the basis you buy a membership for £50 and get a whole host of vouchers including

2 adults and 2 children tickets for £35
1 adult ticket 1 child ticket for £20
2 x children tickets for £1 vouchers
