Wilson - 6; some good saves, but then that goal 🤦‍♂️
Thomas - 5: Poor all round I thought. TBH not been massively impressed with him so far generally.
Fadz - 6: Not his best, saved a goal and could have had the winner tho
Lats - 6: I’d have him at RCB next game I think.
MvE - 9: Great goal, some great defending, and a threat down the right. Wish we had more players who could hit him early. Maybe Kitching.
Sheaf - 7: One man midfield.
Eccles - 6: Poor
Dasilva - 6: Looks better and better down that side offensively. Another goal from him losing his man though.
Palmer - 7: Bossed the game, everything went through him first half
Wright - 7: Better game, still looks like he can’t control a ball to save his life and should have played someone in, but by far our most dangerous player.
Godden - 6: Scored a goal, missed a penalty, was apparently on the pitch for the rest.

Saka - 6: Never got the ball in dangerous areas
Ayari - 6: Looked very raw and still a bit lazy tbh
Bidwell - 6: Dasilva is better
Simms - N/A
Pretty much spot on.
I think we probably should give Watford some credit, they will have a good season.
Some of our players had poor games due to the pressure Watford put on them.

Would be much better suited at AM I still think. A lot more like O’Hare there funnily enough.
He’s having to cover at RWB because we didn’t get a CM in who could start ahead of Eccles. That missing piece of the jigsaw is hurting in more than one position I think.

I assume Kitchin has been brought in to play with his ex-team mate Thomas.
A bit of a worry as the Barnsley fans describe kitchin as a good attacking centre back but a poor defender :0 (

Do people not watch Palmer come back and tackle? Just pretend it never happened cos doesn't fit their narrative?

yes I do but I think he’s a show pony who makes nowhere near assists and nowhere near enough goals for what we pay him - others do - that’s it really

He put himself about a lot today. With a bit of luck with final passes being finished off and/or a bit more composure in front of goal, it could’ve been his best game for us.

Lati was rubbish but arguably not his fault because the errors were due to positioning solely because he was on his weak side, and watford exploited that. He was running through closed doors at times.

Thomas' concentration and positioning was sunday league

Eccles was a bottler. Lost so many 50/50's because he wouldn't put a strong foot in.

Sheaf, Da Silva, MVE, Wright all did well MVE will be our next star who we'll sell for big money

Ayari shown today that he can play in that ‘8’ role. He did have some really classy moments on the ball.

Some good, some bad, some ugly… a little different to last week as I thought Wilson and back 3 had the run around all afternoon but both WB’s vastly better. Today probably shows the folly of not investing in a CM as Eccles was poor today in my view and the bench didn’t have the right option. Forward play much better and effective than v Sunderland.

Wilson 6, kicking and pass outs questionable at times
Lati 6
Fadz 6, just
Thomas 5
MVE 8, and my MoM
JDS 7,
Sheaf 8, and a good job as,
Eccles 4, and rightly booked for another stupid dive
Palmer 7, nothing quite came off
Godden 6, cracking goal though
Wright 7, menace all game
Bidwell 5; Ayari 6; Saka 5 not a WB for me; Ellis N/A

Crowd much more engaged than last week and atmosphere much better 7.5/10. Ref had a reasonable game I thought 7/10
Saka seems too slender for that role. I’d like him to prove me wrong of course.

I’d like him to have longer on the pitch. Sakamoto as well.

He will be eased into the team, he’s shown some good quality on the ball.

I like Eccles and feel like he can get unfair stick at times, but he’s not likely to be a starting calibre top 6 CM (in a two man CM unit) at this stage of his career.

It looked setup for Sakamoto to play in the box tbf, I thought Godden was going to come off before scoring the equaliser.

A great finish and proving why he’s in the team but otherwise had a tough day at the office.

He made 4 tackles. More than anyone else bar MVE who also made 4.
Those were the 2 in our defensive third. And I was replying to a post asking if we saw him come back and tackle - those were the two times. The rest of the time we were defending he was stood nearly the half way line watching.

He attempted more tackles in the defensive third than Sheaf.

What the fuck were you watching? Palmer worked and tracked back constantly. Grendel’s witch hunt is fucking pathetic and you’re just adding fuel to the fire with this clueless inane bollocks. It’s a complete lie

Fact you rmemeber the minutes shows the focus you go into a game with. To convince yourself he is lazy.

Wilson was fine and cannot be faulted for the goals. Made two class saves. Da Silva great until injured, Bidwell surprisingly got done a couple of times. However, their first goal another free cross from our left where the covering defender was behind the attacker. A repeat of Leicester and Swansea. Must do better. Milan looked class for his age. A contemporary of Maatson £31.5 Million? Bobby again lost concentration near the end and gifted them a goal. A worrying trend. Lati looked ok, Fadz also. Sheaf good, Eccles not up to his usual standards. Palmer classy but need to be better when shooting. Ayari, brilliant and naive sometimes in the same move. Hadji getter there with his Vic style runs. Godden another goal two blocked shots and a shit penalty. Needs to stick to one style celebration, I can't keep up. Saka worryingly lightweight, need to toughen up. Simms not on long enough to judge. Their own goal for us, Awesome.
