Simms has a better back catalogue than Wright that’s my view
WTF does that even mean? He's fucking woeful. Wright isn't any better. To be honest I'd start Godden as a lone striker (as hes the best of a piss poor bunch) and play 2 attacking midfielders supporting him.

But tbf, never mind a Hamer replacement, we desperately need 2 strikers in Jan.

Few worries but this kind of fixture always happy with a point. Another 1 at Cardiff and beat Huddersfield with a goal or 2 from the big shot signings I’ll be happy

It means he's judging him based on his whole body of work and not a handful of games at a new team.

Well we definitely aren’t going to sign two strikers in Jan after spending £11m on these two.

Not rocket science. Simms has history of doing it in the Championshp. Wright played in a pub league. Therefore I have more confidence in Simms turning it around. I.e my initial point

Godden up top is the stuff of nightmares. He was anonymous for most of the game tonight. When he did get the ball he either slowed the ball down or couldn't control the ball.

We need to go one up top but definitely not Godden.

I’d start with Simms. Wright hasn’t done enough to start in my opinion. Someone said earlier that it may well be Simms that becomes the success and I’m inclined to agree. We are missing Viks ability to create as well as score. Worried we may have bought 2 out and out strikers with no service
We have these players for up to 4 seasons, but we as you indicate need the next players coming in to be that service. The link between midfield and strikers isn't there yet. Gyok didn't really need that link, he took it from deep and took the ball to the box himself regularly. And 11 new players, 6 games in, can't really expect much more yet.

£7.7m for a 25 year old who has never played in a proper league and can’t get in the Yank squad was always going to be a bold decision. Id love to know the story behind that signing.

Yes this.

He was awful tonight, but a few people seem to be enjoying that fact way too much.

Strange behaviour.

I don't think many were noticeable in the 2nd half, subs you'd hardly notice came on.

Again, like at Leicester, after our 1st goal, should have put them to the sword but instead we wasted chances and opted to sit back.

Every 50/50 or petty challenge going Hulls way didn't help all game, but genuinely in despair tonight.

2 points dropped and not 1 gained imo.

I must admit it was a strange one but didn’t want to be negative at the time

I can’t go a season watching him get beaten for pace on every through ball.

Decent result away at a decent team with a few key players missing, I'll take it.

We are a bit of a dull team nowadays, not much creativity or excitement.
Boring tikI-taka bollocks for you. Bet Wright & Simms would love some higher balls and crosses!

remember the good Old days when we had no money to spend on quality forwards, think that’s the problem, we’re expecting too much too soon, with the money we’ve spent on them, looks Like robins prefers wright & godden didn’t show much tonight, maybe give wright and simms a few games together

It's torture.

Robins loves the bloke and he's delivered this season a few goals which is the only thing he's expected to do.

The problem is, we can't keep playing him at the detriment of the team because he might score a penalty.

Wonder how much we'd get if we sold them now? Nah it's ok, they'll be Gyokeres soon. All players just require time to become our best striker in 20 years.

And that's it. If Biamou played like Godden or Simms tonight, you laugh it off.

I can only judge on what I've seen so far, and alarm bells have been ringing for a few games now.

How long are we going to give him before it's OK to make a judgement?

I get no pleasure in saying it, but I'm worried we've bought a dud.

Gyokeres took quite a few games to get off the mark, Mcnulty was the same, but both certainly showed signs of having qualities. Simms has offered absolutely fuck all, and Wright's not much better.

I know football fans like clubs spending money but it’s a perfectly reasonable assessment to make that Cov just wasted £15 million quid on two players.

Let’s give Simms and Wright more time. Let’s give Robins more time to find his perfect starting XI and lets consider the possibility that we have bought too many players, too quickly.

To be fair seem to have made some good choices at the back

He wasn't good today that's for sure, but if we do create a chance, I'd sooner Godden get it that the other two clowns.

We desperately need 2 new strikers in Jan, and hopefully we can off load Simms and Wright to some mugs and cut our losses

I doubt we’d find any one daft enough to part with 7.7 million

I would have loved to have seen Simms come on for Godden and then Wright and Simms playing together for a change. Didn’t feel any of our strikers were good today so probably a chance to take Godden off and try the “dreaded” Simms/Wright combo.

Nah, 13 is their best album imo, way darker and weirder and just generally more heartfelt. Parklife is good for their more anthem-type songs but 13 is better musically I feel.
Went off them then after them being one of my favourites. Can't even blame Coxon singing because Coffee.. is great but Tender, yuck.

How likely do you think it is, after signing both Simms and Wright just this summer, that we will be offloading them in January?

Godden has been missing chances for a while. At Leicester he was missing them for fun.
