Huddersfield were absolute garbage first half, as bad a team as I have seen in a long time. They made us look like we were playing well.
had we played a better team last night we would have lost that game comfortably. Ayari looked embarrassed by his goal on a very poor night for him.
I did think Kelly and Eccles did OK particularly in the first half, but I stand by my first comment.
Forgot Godden was on the pitch for long periods of the game.
Wright needs to find his mojo pretty quick or he's going to ruin his career and our season very quickly.

Dasilva was the pick of the bunch for me.

Wilson 7 made a couple of decent saves in 2nd half
Sakamoto 7 looked decent
JDS 7 solid and ok going forward
Thomas 5 seemed a bit nervy
Fadz 6
Binks 7 was the pick of the back 5
Kelly 7.5 MOM
Eccles 6.5 was decent enough
Ayari 4.5 (gets half point for the goal) must be a player in there but struggling to see it at the minute
Simms 6.5 looked a lot better
Godden 5.5 tried hard but zero service

subs

wright looks like a £7mill bakayoko at the minute
Allen 7 made a big difference when he cane on for Ayari

Overall most played ok but we lacked any drive/ creativity going forward after the first 1/2 hour.
Midfielders are ok defensively in the main but we need more from the the attacking midfielder than we’ve had in the last 3 games
Allen has to start Saturday

To be fair Kitching is left footed Martin and binks is doing well
I know but Lati was starting left side and he is right footed . Not suggesting I want square pegs in round holes but we've invested a lot in Kitching and he's been anonymous
And Thomas doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence

Thomas looks very poor so far

i would bring Lati there but he’ll play Thomas against QPR for obvious reasons, I think Lati will come in at right wing back

I'm the first to moan about Godden, but thought he did ok. Best of the three for me.

I still think he holds us back though. We need one up top and it wouldn't be him.

Dont know what to think of Godden, he was anonymous for most the game last night, made no impact whatsoever. but it was the same at Cardiff and then he has 2 touches and scores 2 goals. He's the only one putting the ball in net so cant drop him really!

Literally just that Binks is playing very well so Kitching cant get a look in
Fair enough and Binks is playing well . Just thought he was bought as a potential leader/captain so he might've replaced Fadz at some point ? Still early days I suppose 👍

To try and be generous to Wright....

He made some good runs into space for long balls, and obviously worried their defence...

He's obviously a handful.... but end product was awful.

He (and Simms) need a goal and hopefully we'll see some confidence.

Godden was shocking last night the first time ball over the top he tried to play when he had acres of space to run into and basically gave them possession straight back.Should of come off instead of Simms who I thought had his best game so far.Where was Bidwell in the last few seconds of the game no where near stopping that cross Thomas was awful all game.Eccles again after 65/70 ran out of steam he hasn't got enough energy for a young professional footballer. Not a good watch and probably look even worse on Sky ,a long hard season ahead and we've got to play some if the so called better teams yet.

Wright has scored but looks terrible and what a useless miss last night from a yard.

Worse than Cardiff and I didn’t really think that was possible. Robins needs to learn from these mistakes rather than blame players and wheel out the same old team sheet each week.

Robins - 2

Wilson - 7
Sakamoto - 7.5
Thomas - 6
McFadz - 6
Binks - 6
Dasilva - 7
Kelly - 4
Eccles - 3
Ayari - 4
Simms - 6.5
Godden - 3

Wright - 3
Lati - ?
Bidwell - ?
Allen - 7

Absolutely no chance.
It absolutely was because at least we created some chances at Cardiff and more importantly we didn’t learn from our mistakes in the Huddersfield game. It’s fine if you make a mistake, try something and it doesn’t work, fair enough but to go out and do EXACTLY the same thing the following week is absolutely criminal in my view. The team management and the way we dropped off in the second half was appalling. Also remember Cardiff are on a decent run atm, much much better side than Huddersfield this season.

Our xG against Huddersfield was 2.01. xG against Cardiff was 0.91. We created more and were improved (albeit not very good) against Huddersfield, although I think they're the lessor of the two teams. The Cardiff performance was one of the worst I have seen in years. 3-2 flattered us.

True, they were both shit performances and it’s hard to argue with stats but I would say that Huddersfield offered almost nothing all game, they looked a much much easier side than Cardiff. Plus we were at home, they’ve had a new manager recently and they had a crowd of about 23 fans. I think it was a worse result tbh, we should have smashed them 3-0.
