Hands to ears isn't a negative action, particularly from an American

Hmm, I can’t think who it was right now but I remember someone saying Sam Mccallum was more of a talent than Maatsen

The best one was Todd Kane was better than the £10m rated Dabo who should play left back so both can play in the team

Some of you are really ridiculous about this whole thing and let's be honest, if we had paid a lesser fee for him, you wouldn't be crying about his play so much.

I follow all American players abroad, and actually used to write for the website, 'Yanks Abroad' and have been following Haji for awhile now. I even watched a lot of his games when he played at Antalyaspor and/or at least the highlights of most games when he was there. He always takes a bit to get his feet under him, but when he does he starts banging them in on the regular.

He showed against Blackburn what he is capable of, in terms of his finishing and causing problems for the defense. That will give him a much needed confidence boost and he will start banging them in if MR gives him the chance. Bookmark this post if you want, don't much care.

Always amazes me how easily some of our fans write some of our players off when they have barely played.

And before some smartass says only reason I am defending him like this is because he is an American, that is not the case. I am doing so because he is a very good striker on his day and will be seen as such sooner rather than later.

Many thanks for your post, which I find both informative and encouraging.

I have seen enough of Haji Wright, both in his appearances for the Sky Blues and clips of him on YouTube, to see that he has some talent. His header against Blackburn was a cracker. He jumped high, got his head over the ball and headed it powerfully and precisely into the bottom corner. Those chances often end up in the goalkeeper's arms or go over the bar.

We just need to let him settle in and have some more game time.

No worries friend, again I just wish our fans would not write off players so soon.

Now I will be one of the first to hold my hand up and admit he is not cutting it, and cannot handle playing in England if he does not take the confidence from the Blackburn goal and push on. However as I said I really think he will, people need to be patient with the dude. He could have easily had one or two more goals this season and 2 goals and 2 assists from limited time on the pitch is solid.

Also, if there is one thing Haji is definitely not, and that is adversarial. He has been loved everywhere he has played and is a really nice dude as far as I know.

What are your thoughts on the Cannon that QPR have installed on the right of their defence?
Not as good as I was hoping he was gonna be and we need a force at that position in the national team.Dest ain't cutting it either.

Who has written him off? That's a typical sbt overreaction.
It's just been pointed out that (up to now) he's been poor, and hasn't looked like a £7+million international player. Which is fair comment, nothing more than that.

I don't think he's been poor per se.
He's had some moments and got 2 goals and 2 assists but he's also shown poor decision making, poor work rate and lack of concentration at times.

I'm still convinced he'll come good.

I hope your right,
I noticed that the 4 goals scored by Wright and Simms have all been instinctive finishes, as in swing a leg at it, or stick your head on it kind of finishes, both players appear to let themselves down when they need to take a touch first, or when they have time to think and make a decision.
I'm hoping it just a lack of confidence and doesn't become a long term issue.

We really can't afford to get a £7+ m signing wrong.

Every one of Goddens goals this season has been an instinctive one touch finish too just FYI.
