These ratings are ridiculous.

I thought best performance of the season.

Really feeling positive. Absolutely battered them 2nd half. Against a top 8 team.

Wilson 6
Thomas 8
Mcfadz 6
Kitching 7
Da silva 6
Saka 7
Eccles 6
Allen 6
Ayari 6
Wright 6
Simms 6

Van Ewick 7
Binks 6
Lat 7
Godden 7

Subs changed the game.
Totally agree, second half we were easily the better team. Eccles could have two easily but they were straight at the keeper. Ref gets a 1 for a. Absolute howler!!!

Not seen it back yet but lots of bodies in front of him so doubt he saw it until it was on him.

Just reading the comments about Dasilva and recall my own postings about how he seems to have settled into the Cov system quickly.

Then reading above the penny dropped in an “of course” moment, he’s an Ady player; just like Dabo and JCS and Palmer and so many others (Maatsen or was he post Ady?)

They have a particular style which (and it isn’t criticism) seems to be - get the ball, run, if blocked, turn and short pass back, turn, find space, run etc.

Because we are used to seeing the pattern, to me, that’s why Dasilva looked like a natural Cov player.

Anyway….

A comedy of errors really. Ball given away needlessly, several other chances to clear or put a tackle in, defenders getting in each other's way and then just standing and watching as the opposition pick their spot in the 6 yard box. We always seem to have an incident like that waiting at least once a game

Thought although we dominated we were solid but not spectacular. 3 shots on target all game says a lot.

Wilson - 6: Not much to do, scared me shitless once when the ball when through his legs. Otherwise fine.
Thomas - 5: Scares the crap out of me.
Fadz - 6: Solid enough
Kitching - 6: Looks OK. Wouldn’t say a massive improvement on Binks though
Saka - 7: Needs to drive more. He’s got the ability to do it. Him and MvE check back a lot so maybe instructions.
Eccles - 7: Good game, should have got rid for the goal but shouldn’t have got that far. Longer range passing needs work but good to see him shooting and driving forwards more.
Allen - 6: Not a CM. Good when we’ve got the ball at offering an option and moving the ball quickly, but no physical presence and no real defensive contribution for a DM.
Ayari - 6: Better. Starting to see the player in there. Still looked off Championship pace a couple of times and his shooting certainly isn’t Hamer, but promising.
Simms - 6: Feeding off scraps again, looked the best of the three today but also looked like he won’t score in a million years (like the rest)
Wright - 4: Fucking run. So sick of him lounging about. Can forgive form and confidence. Have a real issue with lack of effort.

Binks - 7: Excellent again, particularly when we’re on the ball.
MvE - 7: Big impact, basically his goal. If he had strikers and midfielders who actually wanted to score he’d get a ton of assists. Best delivery of our wide men. Love how he pumps the crowd up too.
Lats - 7: Good cameo in midfield. Should have started there. Have is the bit of steel we were missing without Kelly and got forwards well too.
Godden - 6: Pressed well, missed a few simple passes that would have set us free. Also didn’t look like scoring. Also probably not his fault.

I think we've signed a potential star in Latibeaudaire. Aside from him playing many roles very competently , he is assured and confident in possession and looks to lead on the pitch .
Think he will be invaluable to us for the coming seasons
To be honest he looks like captain material once Kelly and McF depart.

I think Binks is an excellent player, so if Kitching is any kind of improvement on his full debut, I'd be more than happy.

I worry about Thomas at times, and I think Lats would be better there once our injury issues ease.

Really good all round performance with one defensive lapse. Just need to work on creating some clearer cut chances and sometimes playing forward quicker.

Stopped Norwich playing out and made them look really poor.

We never beat Norwich lately so not too disappointed. That said, they have been dreadful away from home which should put the result into context. Thought we started poorly and got lucky with their attacks down our right which flashed across the goal. Cock up for their goal. Was it Eccles that lost the ball in the area? A rare mistake by a player who we cannot afford to rest. Thought Wilson was slow to get down but was probably unsighted. Otherwise was fine. Saka is not a great defender as evidenced in the first 20 minutes, but was good going forward. Still can't believe the last minute header didn't go in. MR needs to find a way to use Saka without using him as a wingback. Possibly the way he used Maatsen in midfield a couple of seasons ago. DaSilva as ever, started well then faded. The Northern mafia were fine once they settled. Well they understand each others language, unlike Saka. Eccles and Allen were fine considering how much game time they have had lately. We were unlucky several times when our shots went straight down their goalies neck or just sailed wide. Eccles was particularly unlucky. How do you solve a problem like Simms and Wright? Simms is taking too many touches when he should wack it. Wright is waiting for that international class, defence splitting pass that never comes. Ayari was as good today as he was poor against Blackburn and nearly drove through their defence on a couple of occasions. Subs all looked good having extra legs. Our goal was lucky but deserved. Special mention for the officials who missed the memo about adding the extra time for injuries, substitutions, goal celebrations and time wasting. Expected at least 12 minutes in the second half not four. Couple of poor decisions when Saka was fouled and no yellows when they tugged our shirts back. Here's hoping the break can allow us to get our midfield players back.

I obviously wasn't at the same game as you Eccles 4 and Allen 5. According to BBC stats.we had 3 shot on target and Eccles had 2 of those.I thought we did far better in midfield today . IMHO lack of movement off the ball from our front 2 let us down(closing down and trying to lose their marker).More than once Allen and Eccles looked up to make a forward pass and had to be content passing sideways because no forward pass was on.

Eccles was at fault for their goal and just didn't do enough for me

You seem to have developed a strange obsession with my football opinions!
Not really as you're consistently stubborn once you've formed an opinion on a player . Eccles a 4 can be explained I suppose , same as Latibeaudaire and others in the recent past ?

Not stubborn at all. Lati was very good today when he came on and has been in recent appearances, my main criticism of him was his seeming lack of mobility but he looks better now, maybe a fitness thing.

Eccles would have been a 5 without his error for the goal, ok performance, did the simple things but didn't offer the quality needed to unlock the defence which is what we need in that deep midfield position.
