Which makes it very difficult to say that these were not deliberate acts of collective punishment on Palestinians. Same with the “safe” routes bombing.

It's deliberate targeting surely.

The Israelis have already said that Hamas may hide in hospitals, so I am pretty certain this is a deliberate ploy

Away from the snide , you have to draw the line at what we're currently seeing Israel do , it's pretty dark and is a war crime , goes against the Geneva convention article 19 .

When similar acts like this were pointed out you asked what Israel were meant to do with Hamas using human shields. Tonight's events should make clear that they're not too fussed about who they end up killing.
