We've lost to 1 team in the bottom 10
I said lowly teams Bristol looked rubbish and we lost Rotherham looked rubbish we also lost this time by 2 goals... nothing to be positive about atm unless things start to look up

No evidence for that whatsoever.
It’s based on watching the players we have in the squad, thinking we have the capacity to add a couple more, and trusting more in Robins and Viveash than in anyone contributing here.

It’s a tough league, and we’ve lost two major players. The team shape isn’t delivering results at the moment, and IMO the biggest issue is the poor delivery from wide areas (both in open play and from set pieces). We’re also making some glaring mistakes at the back. Neither of those things are insurmountable problems, and we are far from getting played off the park. Both of these two latest games could easily have gone the other way.

My optimism may of course be misplaced. I don’t think we will be near the bottom of the table at the end of the season, and it looks to me like we have started building a good platform for the following years. But feel free to say “I told you so” if I’m wrong. It’s only football.

Woeful performance aside.

Biggest concern here is the seemingly massive lack of team spirit, drive or passion. Appreciate it’s a lot of new players but by now a sense of camaraderie should exist, but there seems little of that and heads are dropping so quickly when things aren’t working.

Needs some leaders to emerge - on and off the pitch.
No spirit at all or togetherness and it shows.

I agree with much of what you've said here

MR:

Really disappointed
OK first half
Had lots of possession and not used it
Poor goals to concede
Masters of our own downfall
Had chances to win and not taken them
Element of luck in their keeper making saves
Didn't defend properly
Needed to play with higher tempo
Players not following the detailed instructions for defending set pieces
Lacking in the middle, not energetic or athletic enough
Not good enough on or off the ball
Hopefully being in a shit league position won't hurt the players
No doubt these are good players
Maybe strikers need more concentration on connecting with the ball
That last point makes it sound like he's spent £10m on two strikers who can't shoot instinctively.

He's also made the point about tempo before, yet why do we continue to pass it slowly from side to side?

It is a concern. I do think the players are good enough, but if there's a lack of spirit and leadership, that will always hurt you. Doesn't matter how good individual players are if the spirit is not there.

I'm seeing a weak midfield, toothless attack, and porous defence. If anything, they have got worse the more games they have played together and the manager just keeps repeating 'but they're good players'. Sounds like he doesn't know how to fix it.

Exactly this^

either there not good players

or you don’t know how to get the best out of them mark

I tell you what if we’re 20th at Christmas I question whether he’ll still be the manager

As much as I absolutely loved the spirit and togetherness of last seasons never say die team …..I fear that many of this crowd now think they’ve made it after their monied deals and increased salaries. Big fan of MR but…..can he motivate a bunch of players who already think they’ve made it🤷‍♂️
Only positives were some good BW saves, Sheaf did try and drive them forward and Callum was desperate to make an impact when he came on . The signings to a man were fucking awful

There’s far too much sideways and backward passing when we’re in possession and no tempo moving forward. Another glaring issue is there’s absolutely no driving force to link defense and attack. It’s all far too ponderous.

The only other issue for me is the complete lack of understanding between the players. Runs are being made but there seems to be no one on the same wavelength.

The players are good enough imo, they’re just woefully underperforming at the moment.

To be fair I think the opposite

the players that we have from last year and before are the ones who will always run through brick walls for this club, they’ve proven it and earned that respect over time

Looks very similar to how Forest were playing under Hughton

MVE was poor tonight I thought, I expected a lot more from him, he never tries to beat the full-back. Either no confidence or just not good enough?
Have to say, I’m not getting the total love in with MVE. Was expecting this lightning fast wing back, but I don’t think he’s THAT quick and he seems a little conservative at times. Definitely a great prospect.
Thought Kitching oozed class against Norwich. He needs to play. Binks looked shaky tonight , especially 2nd half.
MR needs switch to the box formation now. Mi

The whole system is reliant on an Allen or an O'Hare in breaking those lines, if they're not playing it just goes side to side. As well as that, it's reliant on braver passing all over the pitch which we are just not seeing, trying that early ball to a wing back making a run. It's a combination of personnel and confidence, though I feel the former will improve the latter.

I do think we did play some good balls, especially down the two flanks. Van Ewijk and DaSilva both got a lot of quality ball. They just did nothing with it though

The space was there and they were in very decent positions, but their delivery was poor, or they were tackled too easily
