What was Robins thinking? Bizarre decision, Palmer isn't even sharp after he's played 15 consecutive games, why the fuck was he out there so soon after injury. Let Luton back into the game and killed our chance of winning it in the 90.

Robins explained it in interview posted. He knew it was a gamble and Palmer wouldn’t last into ET but felt we were on top, thought he could add a bit of fair/killer pass and wanted to try to win it normal time

I thought he did well when he came on. A couple of neutral mates thought he looked very good. But faded quickly.

Should be any time now I think based on the initial prognosis.

Having O'Hare, Palmer, Sakamoto and Allen to choose from suddenly gives us a lot more options especially with regards to the box.

Genuinely think we’ve missed him last few weeks.
If not for his set piece taking - at least he whips in corners with a bit of pace.

Between those 4 we will create toms of chances …

Palmer is only good for 45 minutes , but if he’s our only viable option for dead ball taking , then I think we’re knackered !

While you say that, he goes flying into tackles and gets stuck in much more than most.

Compare it to the other night when their player squared up to Kitching and the rest of the players shit themselves and stood there.

Kastaneer didn't even need to be on the pitch to kick off with an opposition player. Should have signed him up just for muscle

Great with great players around him, for example hamer behind him doing all the running and Gyokeres in front of him chasing all his fancy flicks and through balls.

Not so sure about him in this current team. Luxury we can’t afford atm. Does not get in ahead of Sakamoto or O’hare. Good option to have though.

errr we need someone to take on set pieces and corners - so vital to get him back and fit

When he’s back I Wouldn’t mind seeing him start as a false 9 behind one of Wright or Simms. Gives him less running to do and focus more on getting some quality service to the striker.

If he must be picked then he really needs to have someone alongside him to do some legwork.
Have you seen Palmer play? I was expecting what you describe, but he does a lot of closing down. If Palmer is lazy, what is Ayari?
Palmer was excellent up until the 1st International break. He then had a couple of wayward games then got injured.
I think we’ve missed him badly over the last few games personally.

Ayari is a kid out of his depth.

I know what he means. When the game is in front of him he’s not bad - he’ll press and challenge for the ball. Once it’s gone past him though you may as well have me in there. He ain’t tracking back.

Still think there’s something with him and O’Hare that could work.

You described him as world class
