NoDoes he actually touch the Preston player?
No
Someone said pen correct because he intended to lol
But in actual time, at normal speed, you can see how the ref deemed he did touch/push/grab him.No

And, the way things are going, not being awarded the penalty and a yellow card for our player for simulation. But in actual time, at normal speed, you can see how the ref deemed he did touch/push/grab him.
We would have been absolutely screaming for a penalty under the same circumstance.

Exactly that I think and from the refs perspective you can see how he would have believed that McFadzean actually did catch the player. That’s what it looked like to me : Fatz tried to foul him but failed!
Yes we would be screaming but no likely hood of getting one - we just seem to be invisible for fouls in the boxBut in actual time, at normal speed, you can see how the ref deemed he did touch/push/grab him.

Sorry Pete but the ref. had the same angle just about as the clip shown .You can see him in the clip much as I like Taylor he cocked up there.Yep for me he’s given what he thinks he’s seen and maybe from his angle it looks like a pen
However he then makes an error not sending fadz off
Referees aren’t going to improve by being stopped from reffing altogether. My main bone of contention is the Premier League using the Championship as the naughty step for referees after a shit performance. They're human and are liable to make mistakes but they should be dropped altogether for a week.
Not sure how you got to "being stopped from reffing altogether". 1 week isn't going to render them incapable. Get them out the spotlight, spend a week training/analysing the mistake etc. while at the same time not belittling the Championship by using it as a punishment.Referees aren’t going to improve by being stopped from reffing altogether.
The ref had just about the same view as the camera shows.Exactly that I think and from the refs perspective you can see how he would have believed that McFadzean actually did catch the player.
Refereeing in the Championship does take them out of the Premier League spotlight. We don’t like to be reminded that our league’s of a lesser standard, but that’s just reality. Not sure how you got to "being stopped from reffing altogether". 1 week isn't going to render them incapable. Stopping them reffing for 1 or 2 week is not going do that much to their match fitness.Refereeing in the Championship does take them out of the Premier League spotlight. We don’t like to be reminded that our league’s of a lesser standard, but that’s just reality.
Referees need match fitness just like players do - if they’re not performing well, then maybe that needs to happen at a lower level for everyone’s sake, but the only reason to suspend them entirely should be misconduct.
You know they analyse every game with the ref team and observer at levels below the premier leagueNot sure how you got to "being stopped from reffing altogether". 1 week isn't going to render them incapable. Does stopping them from refereeing help them improve? That should be the only consideration, not finding suitable “punishment” to satisfy whichever set of fans they upset this week.Stopping them reffing for 1 or 2 week is not going do that much to their match fitness.
Is Taylor who has dropped a bollock in this game going to be doing league 1 then? You seem to think that is an appropriate punishment for making mistakes
The game is too subjective and we are trying to make every decision objectiveDoes stopping them from refereeing help them improve? That should be the only consideration, not finding suitable “punishment” to satisfy whichever set of fans they upset this week.
stopping them for 1 match where they can spend the weekend looking at the mistakes they made and working out what went wrongDoes stopping them from refereeing help them improve? Is it going to take them all week? They can’t spare a few hours at the weekend to actually put these learnings into practice and do the job we’re hoping they can do?stopping them for 1 match where they can spend the weekend looking at the mistakes they made and working out what went wrong
yeah, they also spend time watching games as wellIs it going to take them all week? They can’t spare a few hours at the weekend to actually put these learnings into practice and do the job we’re hoping they can do?
Well tbh I think players and referees alike will generally benefit from actually taking part in games at some level, rather than watching them on TV.yeah, they also spend time watching games as well
your nonsense idea that making them ref 1 game in another division is ok isn't making them better either
People going mental at kids games like its a World Cup final is cringey as fuck. The game is too subjective and we are trying to make every decision objective
Coach this morning going mental about a throw in ffs chill out it’s a f’in throw in
Almost fisticuffs as the club assistant gave an offside the parents didn’t agree with
U14 top division
To be fair to the players on both teams you were a credit and showed up the adults for what they were - cretins
utter nonsenseWell tbh I think players and referees alike will generally benefit from actually taking part in games at some level, rather than watching them on TV.
Let’s be honest, the only reason people want to see refs suspended for making mistakes is because they feel like they’ve been personally wronged, and it makes them feel better to see someone get punished for it. It’s a childish mentality.
Where have I said they shouldn’t be studying?utter nonsense
you can improve my study and taking a back seat, as you can in all areas of life
and it's nice to see you are getting personal when you really don't have an case
Don’t we do that anyhow and what with the scarcity of themThe impossible job: inside the world of Premier League referees
Players, pundits and fans complain bitterly that referees are getting worse each season – but is that fair?www.theguardian.com
, how the fk do you celebrate a goal after a 5 min review?!
