Say yes Hamas are terrorists and that doesn’t justify the level of civilian deaths.

Yeah I mean seriously how hard is it just to say 'yes' at any point in this conversation?

Surely he realises how this conversation will reflect on him?

Morgan: 'This country says they [Hamas] are a terror group. Do you agree? And should they stay in power?'

Corbyn: 'Listen, I do not approve, support, or welcome Hamas'

Morgan: 'Are they a terror group?'

Corbyn: 'Everybody knows what they are'

Morgan: 'Are they a terror group?'

Corbyn: 'Look, Piers...'

Morgan: 'Can you say it?'

Corbyn: 'Piers, can we have a discussion...'

Morgan: 'Can you say it?'

Corbyn: 'Can we have a discussion...'

Morgan: 'Can you call them a terror group, Jeremy?'

Corbyn: 'Can we have a discussion...'

Morgan: 'Can you call them a terror group?'

Corbyn: 'Piers. Is it possible to have a rational discussion with you?'

Morgan: 'Are you prepared to call Hamas a terrorist group?'

Corbyn: 'Is it possible to have a rational discussion?'

Morgan: 'You can't can you?'

Corbyn: 'Is it possible? Come on, answer that question'

Morgan: 'You can't, can you?'

Corbyn: 'You answer it'

Morgan: 'No, it's my show. You answer my question. Are Hamas a terror group?'

Corbyn: 'Listen... Piers, can I speak?'

Morgan: 'Answer the question. Are they a terror group?'

Corbyn: '...'

Morgan: 'Are they a terror group?'

Corbyn: 'Let me speak I'll say someething. A ceasefire means both sides...'

Morgan: 'You've said that. Are they a terror group? Are they a terror group? Are they a terror group?'

Corbyn: 'Can we...'

Morgan: 'Why can't you say it?'

Corbyn: 'Piers, can we go through what ought to be happening'

Morgan: 'Just answer my question. Are Hamas a terror group? Are Hamas a terror group?'

The thing is to be kind you can totally have a rational debate about the usefulness of labelling groups terrorists and blah blah blah. But not on fucking Piers Morgan. You know what’s coming and what the game is if you don’t want to play it don’t step on the pitch. It’s why he does so well in friendly
Crowds like Labour leadership contests and not in hostile interviews. But hostile interviews are part of the job!

I saw Truss has been bigging herself up today also. She recon’s she’s got together with some “economists” and has formulated a plan to turn the countries economy around. Presumably the same economists who came up with the plan for her mini budget. Couldn’t make it up.

The vultures are circling but I don’t think the party has the will to go nuclear with Sunak this close to the GE. If they did I think it would be happening already. One Jenkyns does not a rebellion make.

Sounds like Sunak is safe for a while. This meeting of the far right Tories looks to be an anticlimax, reported about only 8 MP’s have turned up although they’re claiming more are joining on zoom. About the most interesting thing about it was that 50p Lee turned up to it. Maybe another resignation in the offing.

There aren’t any far right Tories ;)

The last far right Tory was Tony Blair

Why is there a hostile interview with a non Labour MP? What a bizarre country and bizarre that you and others are giving credit to the way a c**t like Piers Moron operates.

Doesn’t Starmer also just refuse to give any decisive opinion in his interviews?

Some good news at last. Inflation has fell to 4.6%. Fair play to Sunak, he’s halved inflation by the end of the year so has hit one of his targets. Bad news for Braverman and the rest of her cronies. Can’t see letters of no confidence going in off the back of that news. It’s the nearest thing to accomplishing something that the Tories set out to do in 13 years. Although I suspect that it’s got more to do with outside influences such as international oil prices falling.

Its Piers fucking Morgan! What was he expecting? Corbyns issue, aside from any policy disagreements anyone might have, has always been that as soon as he’s outside the comfort of very left wing people he becomes hostile and evasive and visibly angry.

In a job that’s all about influencing people, that’s kind of a deal breaker.

It was always going to halve, going back to the theory I read about an early 2025 GE, he’s basically picked a bunch of KPIs that will either regress to the mean with no effort (inflation) or are cyclical and can be timed to show a reduction from a peak (NHS and boats). All of his pledges are basically statistical tricks.

Also: what does his party affiliation have to do with anything? Elected representatives should be capable of discussing their views clearly. That’s a basic requirement of representative democracy.

Agree that inflation wasn’t in his gift…and a gamble…however, certain policies could’ve/would’ve probably increased inflation.

Either way good news. Long term bond yields had already been falling quite dramatically (which is thanks a part to stability..certainly compared to truss but also due to economy slowing/maybe on way into slight recession leading to likely inflation drop). Combo of both should lead to lower interest rates from lenders in due course though

There is still six weeks to the end of the year plenty of time for a Truss type disaster and the rate could go back up. No doubt the decrease is down to him but the increases were outside influences.

Why is he a c**t? For asking a straight forward question and demanding a straight forward answer?
If that's the case I wish there were more cunts asking questions and not letting politicians duck out of answering.

Let's not forget. Corbyn actually tried to be PM!!!! Unbelievable I know.

Oh definitely good news. US economy seems to be doing well as well. I saw odds of a rate rise there dropped to zero.

Just need some solid growth now.

Like implementing taking back control of our borders adding 3% to the cost of food. Wouldn’t at all be surprised if there’s a recession next year although I can’t see the interest rates falling as dramatically as they rose and don’t expect to see them get back down to where they were, which might not be a bad thing long term.

Piers Morgan being awful doesn’t excuse how dreadful Corbyn’s performance was.

Corbyn and his foreign policy approach has never changed. Mr Starmer of course was fully aligned to this policy only a few years ago.

I do feel for Sunak sometimes, he's finally delivered on something, yes it may be the one of his promises that he had nothing to do with and was really easy to do but it's still going to get shallowed up in the tory rights attempts to topple him

I don’t know. I think most Tory MP’s will be looking at the headlines this morning and seeing what is essentially a positive headline that they can claim a victory over vs headlines that look like the ramblings of a deranged person who at the end of that day isn’t that popular amongst the electorate and think we’ll stick with the positive. At the moment I can’t see there being the 50+ letters needed going in and even if they do I can’t see him losing a vote of no confidence, especially when the alternative seems to be Braverman who has only ever exceeded in marginalising the party further and making them even more unelectable. He’s going to have to fuck majorly now. I can also see him biting the bullet calling a GE in the new year, better to be voted out by the public than your own party, the Tories are a party of one-upmanship and he knows he can’t be in the job longer than Boris but he can say at least say he wasn’t removed by his own party because he was unfit to govern.
