To be fair to Morgan, who we all agree can be a bit of a c*nt, he answered both McCluskey and Corbyns direct questions. He condemned the Israeli settlements and condemned the ability for Israel to control energy and water. He also commented on having a Palestinian on the show recently who had had numerous members of his family killed by Israel.
Morgan asked two direct and legitimate questions, do they class Hamas a terror group and should they be left in charge of Gaza (suggesting that if they are, no deal will ever be done by Israel). McCluskey answered, Corbyn refused numerous times He also lied about about the story when he said ‘friend from Hamas’
McCluskey obviously knows Corbyns real/full views on this subject as he desperately tried to protect him and answer on his behalf. I can only assume Corbyn sees Hamas as an acceptable means to end.

Did for him completely not just because of the way the vote went, but his refusal to back a line showed her was incapable of leadership. He had to either go with his personal view, or embrace his party's view under the spirit of in it together. To do neither was utterly feeble really.

He was great while no one took him seriously and there were no foreign policy issues. Once people started challenging him he falls apart.
He’s spends all his time around people who agree with everything he says and has real trouble once he’s outside that bubble. That’s a deal breaker for anything more than a constituency MP. And not particularly great for that.
This goes back to my theory about the left losing competent negotiators and leaders with the loss of the unions and replacing them with activists who just want to shout and hold placards.

Exactly. Why has the TUC got a view on Gaza or whatever? Like i get it. Solidarity and everything. But I just wish the left was a bit better at keeping its eyes on the prize and playing its own area instead of insisting on everyone getting involved in every cause. It causes constant purity spirals and endless gotchas. And builds this bunker mentality where it’s hard to reach across the aisle at all or take a moderate position for expedient reasons in your particular circumstances.

To be fair the wage price spiral is usually a second phase of inflation. Hopefully won’t happen although wages increases are likely to keep prices at this higher level ie materials and energy costs might drop but increases in wages will now be baked in

The TUC isn't a trade union in itself, there is no employer with whom it has a relationship. The Labour party derived from a motion at Congress. I get your point to an extent tbh but I also get why nominally left wing organisations might leave their lane at times.
