Limit the bastards to 500 allocation

We've not come to an agreement with Leeds in order to maximise our profits, why, in that case, would we limit them to 500?

We're just as complicit in this as they are and will be charging the likes of Hull and Cardiff substantially more than they charged us so we can't take the moral high ground.

I was really looking forward to going to this game, haven't been to Elland Road since the early 90s when we lost 3-0. Not sure ill be going now, £45 is just such a rip off.

Free travel would have been the right compensation for Cov fans travelling.

But how anyone can blame us as much as Leeds for this is mental. They've come up with a ridiculous price in the first place. since when did Leeds have the right to determine prices for all other clubs, they could only charge £30 last season in the prem so theyre just trying to take the opportunity to rinse other clubs whilst they can

Should boycott, but wont!

Why the fuck should we be bullied by Leeds?

Why is their default price £45? Surely that is the biggest question.

People want the club run in a more professional manner, maximising revenues so we can move forward Ticket categorization is valid in the league rules. Shame for Leeds fans but that is their problem. We shouldn't have to bend to another clubs wishes, was there even mention of them matching the £37 ours are capped at? No, stinks of a big club being entitled to me.

Leeds genuinely think Cat A just has them in it.

I have no issue with getting prices down. But the way Leeds have gone about it is shitty IMO and designed to set other clubs up to look the bad guy if they don’t give in to demands. There’s no negotiation, it’s a demand and for me that’s the difference.

I agree, not defending Leeds, but the notion we're above this sort of thing is bollocks.

A £15 discount to be sent out near the end of season only valid on fall price items. With the crap the shop sells wont be any items still at full price !

If Leeds set the bar for their own fans at £45, I would have thought they should be thanking us for offering their fans 'discount' price tickets at £37! If King was allowed to, I'm sure he'd love to charge them £45 in line with what our fans will have to pay at their place.

Yeah, why didn't they negotiate. Maybe Doug could have knocked a quid or two off their ticket and match £35.

Although, with Doug's record, he wouldn't have even wanted to knock a quid off.

The offer should have been “well cap our away prices at what they charge us, and will offer reciprocal pricing where we can agree”. This is just showboating.

I've looked at the prices and an adult and a kid at Leeds is cheaper than they will pay for at our place.

£45 is a disgrace at Leeds but £25 kids for us is equally bad.

@pusbccfc I get you go to very game and have an understandable vested interest in not wanting to pay £45 to go to Leeds, but the hard economic reality is that CCFC don't make a penny from your supporting us there. Leeds is one of the games that is likely to provide one of our bigger crowds at home, so it really makes no sense for the club to reduce prices for Leeds fans and lose money in the process. The reason Leeds are able to charge so much is all connected to the laws of supply and demand, which we are simply applying to their fans in return.

Doug King & Coventry are completely in the wrong here. Anyone blaming Leeds need to take their head for a wobble.

The £15 voucher with a spend of £60 is just about the worst, greediest offer the club could have made.

Its not really - the £15 will in many cases not even make profit on a £60 purchase

Very true.

True but that doesn't make £45 right. Some Leeds tickets in other stands are as low as £34 that day.

Im not sure if you’re trying to help my point, but yes and its entirely self inflicted.
TBH I’m not sure either. The fact there is so much of a backlash suggest that the proposal has been counter productive, but all those complaining should remember that the club didn’t have to offer anything. Leeds are basically bullying other clubs and a better response than capitulation would be for fans to boycott that scummy club. CCFC have offered something to fans which will cost the club very little, but could have some value to some people.
As an aside, I have never liked Leeds, mainly due to Billy Bremner and Garry Sprake. I’m trying to remember whether it was the latter that Ernie Hunt lobbed a goal past at HR.

Have you seen the quality of the stuff in the club shop? Its cheap rubbish, probably from China. I'd be surprised if the cost price of one of the £35 t-shirts was more than £5.

That makes zero difference - the club effectively is just a seller of other peoples merchandise- a 25% margin is significant
