I think that Godden coming off the bench actually works in Godden's favour. He's getting older and anything that can help even out that disadvantage is good for him. Against tired legs he might just get that extra yard of space to get a shot away he might not have got in say the 10th or 20th minute.
In the meantime, given that we are getting goals from elsewhere and Simms is going to provide a more physical test for defenders having him start is fine. Sure, eventually we need to start seeing a higher goal output from him but for the time being things are working overall. If he still isn't getting in the goals by the end of the season then maybe we'd have to start thinking of whether we want to stick or twist.
