I think if Cal is running down his contract, we got him for nowt & he's going for nowt. But I can't help thinking he's playing a dangerous game, just imagine if he was to get another bad injury in the next coupls of months.
Nah he’s pretty safe - if he injured himself in the next few months the club will give him a new 1 year contract and he’ll take it.

said it earlier, he’s in no rush - the English teams can legitimately approach him in may. O’Hare is class, but what will be will be. He’s not the first player to leave us on a free and won’t be the last

Interesting you should say that
Was speaking to him this morning mainly about the statue committee and we were both saying how King seems to be just the person for this stage of the club. Very different to others involved during sisu years but proving himself in the people he’s recruiting and the progress being made on and off the pitch
Nice bloke he is honestly

I don't see him signing another one tbh; will be a shame as I like the dude, but is what it is.

What incentive does he have to do this?

Wouldn’t do any harm from his side if he said he loves the club but dreams of playing in the Prem and therefore wants to see what the situation is/his options are in the summer. Would put rumours to bed about wages, offers, other players etc and everyone can just crack on

Unless he thinks there’s a chance of him signing a new contract in the coming weeks….

ps even if we all know some ITKs bullshit some fans will take that simms comment and use it as another thing to beat him with. Not great

So pretty much what Hamer did then?

I didn’t have a major issue with hamer but I don’t recall him ever coming out and saying anything. All we had again was leaks from ITKs that he was home sick, Doug hasn’t offered enough etc etc when he was holding out for a Prem club/more cash

lol - people on this forum were literally saying “fuck him off” about a month ago, I don’t think he’s going to get greeted with fans waving palm leaves if he tells them the unpleasant truth.
What was the reaction to how Gyokeres said the truth? Allowed the club to plan very early for his departure and also allowed him to get his preferred move in good time. Contrast with what Hamer did.

Neither of those situations are comparable with O’Hare’s which is a lot more delicate and uncertain given the time left on his contract, his injury record, and his performances this season.

If O’Hare came out tomorrow and said he wanted to leave, I imagine many fans would demand we drop him. I don’t blame him for wanting to sidestep the bother, or for genuinely wanting to keep his options open.

I like Callum and rate him as a player. But that interview answer is bullshit. How can he not know what's happening with his own contract.

Doesn't want to upset the fans.

Sad to say, Callum is obviously waiting to see what offers come in.

Rip the band aid off now and let people get on with it, or leave them hoping for something that isn’t going to happen? What’s going to leave them more pissed off?

Not that anyone here appears to think there’s a chance he’ll sign, but still.

Are fans pissed off with Hamer?

Either way - if Coventry fans end up pissed off with him for leaving then why pretend he’s going to care when he’d be playing for a better team for more money?

He made out he wanted to stay to people around him but he had no intention of staying. Rat like to be honest, vik said he wanted to go from the off and is respected for that. Great leaving video aswell Hamer did jack shit.

Fair enough, I suppose integrity isn't something that important to you. Maybe I'm just old fashioned

Won’t be singing along with him at this year’s Godiva. That’ll show him.
