Bit of a bugger as I am 67 in 2028 & full retirement with state pension cannot come soon enough. I intend to retire sometime this year & live off 1 of my personal pensions.

gas has been generating power for a while now edf has six nuclear power plants out of commission for at least a month gas currently taking up the slack currently running at 60% I think.

Well watch it again and you can see that he’s actually laughing at something said by someone behind the woman he’s talking to. I think that comes across as awkward, but I don’t think it’s as bad as openly laughing in that woman’s face, as the video was originally described when I first saw it.
Again, I’m not trying to say Sunak’s a masterful political communicator here, just pointing out when the editing and framing of a video can make something seem worse than it actually is.

I don't think the walking away is even the worst part of this. It's the fact that he is trying to blame it all on the doctors, as if he isn't actually in charge. He's only the Prime Minister after all. What is the point of voting for a party that is unable to make any of our public services work effectively?
Honestly I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would vote for them. What exactly have they achieved? It's just about blaming everyone else for their complete failure to run anything properly and deflecting from their failures with ridiculous and expensive gimics like the Rwanda Bill.
Don't get me wrong I have always been vehemently anti Tory on ideological grounds. But this lot are not just ideologically wrong, they are also totally incompetent and haven't got any idea how to run the country. And it would appear they also don't care about the damage they are inflicting on our public services and peoples' lives.

Apparently their is a big thing going on via Twitter and other social using a hashtag of boycotting Pizza Hut. The reason why?
Apparently, a Pizza Hut location, in Jerusalem, is giving out free pizza to Israeli soldiers.

Boycotting has been an effective means to an end for as long as I can remember, the part it played in ending apartheid being an obvious example, so it's nothing to do with being snowflakes.
Didn't the MAGA lot boycott a beer in the US recently when it went 'woke'?

There’s also the Nike boycott over sports stars taking the knee.
In this country certain elements have tried to organise boycotts of the national trust because it tells us too much/the wrong history of certain buildings and sites and the RNLI for saving the wrong people at sea.
It’s interesting that the people who organise/get behind these types of campaigns are usually the type to band about the snowflake tag.

I'm right behind boycotting as a form of protest, even if it means its taken up by causes I don't agree with.
Naomi Kleins book No logo makes a case for how effective it can be, (although her arguments in the book are a bit more nuanced)

Anyone got any thoughts on various senior military figures from NATO countries on prepping for conflict with Russia? Mentions of bolstering forces, recruitment issues, even conscription. Upon searching for the terms of being recalled as a regular reservists I was shocked to find a number of military communication networks have updated articles on the issue today…
