Just think there’s too much infrastructure built around them being where they are. Fully moving to another bit of the ground isn’t practical. Can’t go further round to the posh stand really either.
They managed to relocate away fans successfully at the Riverside and we have now also put a club shop right by that stand too. Pity really

Yeah but they will have spent a lot doing that. There will be a rebuild of the concourse required, also the concourse safety features include that it is one continuing concourse for the home areas.

People talk about putting them in where the family stand is but aren't those turnstiles as it says in the notes also used for part of the corporate area?

They you have to take int account the outside infrastructure is all designed (badly) to take area fans to the south stand.

If for the rest of the season we don’t have a lot of fixture changes, season ticket sales are likely to be unaffected. People will forget about how ridiculous the first half of the season has been.

Interestingly with attendances being high across the board a lot of clubs are concerned with their ground being full of just season ticket holders. As it prevents a new generation of fans from attending games

We don't have a lot of fixture changes yet.

Interesting second paragraph.

Course they give a shit and the answer doesn’t really give the detail I need to consider whether more could be done
If they do give a shit, then great.
I don’t understand the rest of your sentence, but if the notes don’t give sufficient detail to make clear what was said / intended then that can be dangerous.

5. Up-date on Safe Standing Area for 2024-25 – Dave Boddy
Dave advised since the last meeting there has been a change of direction on safe standing. Talked about reconfiguring the away end. As the club moves towards bigger home crowds we have a lot of wasted seats due to the current configuration of the concourse in the South Stand. Lots of work has been going on to reduce the lost seats in the away end and reducing the away capacity.
The safe standing provision has been put on hold until this has been decided, not to say this is going away but both are major pieces of work that need to be done correctly.
Doug said lots of work is going on to optimise the number of seats sold in the stadium on match days. The last 3 games have sold out the general admission for the home end.
Any changes to the away configuration will be from next season.
Jim Brown asked whether we will see 31,000 attendances. Dave said yes of course when the reconfiguration has been completed.

The right decision, there is no point rushing into anything. The attendances issue is what needs to be sorted first. We need safe standing but it needs to be in the correct place.

Under DK I'm confident that it isn't just talk and they are making logical business decisions instead.

2. Is it true that we are looking to sign another Japanese player? (CCSWSC)

What kind of moronic question is this?

Unless the person asking this question is either a child or Japanese, it's ridiculous.

18. Torn jeans and replica shirts are still on display pre and post match (worn by adults). Can the stewards be encouraged to enforce the dress code more effectively? (Corporate Area)

22. What plans are there, if any, to enable junior and senior season tickets to be up-graded to an adult ticket without having to pay the full price? Have the club considered a re-sell process? (Sky Blue Talk)
Changed a couple of years ago to mean that you have to purchase a full value ticket in line with other clubs that they have spoken to
Tynan confirmed they are looking at a re-sell process, now that sell-outs are happening.

It's not 2005, anyone wearing ripped jeans to a social event needs reporting to the police.

Thanks for asking Q22, its a disappointing answer but at least we have one. It's good that they are looking into a resell option. I hope it's fixed at the ticket price (compared to PL reseller platforms).

The process and how it will work hasn’t been agreed yet so we need to wait and see what it is and not just a yeah yeah we hear you but not gonna do anything
Does that make sense?

I would be wary about moving away fans. Yes where they are isn’t ideal, but if you start reconfiguring the ground you risk losing the atmosphere that has taken 19 years to develop.

Just halving the south stand and getting home fans in there alongside the away fans is the best approach

Great work Pete. Thanks

Ps saw the comments about outside bars closing earlier, signage and curbs etc but didn’t see anything about more turnstiles being needed (only managed a quick read, sorry if I missed it) ?

They guy who was seemingly from the Arena who posted on here said there aren't enough for 2024 standards but it was really expensive to basically rebuild the walls.

I think the issues with the queues are being made a bigger deal than what it is. People were so used to getting in whenever they want. Too many people still arrive at the turnstile late on. The concourses, especially towards the corner and half empty 20 minutes before the game.

So all the people who say they are stuck in massive queues at that time are lying? People who are turning up 40 to 50 minutes before teh game?

It doesn't matter how busy the concourses are, it fact that is likely a symbol that they are not getting people through the turnstiles whenever they want.

But are they really turning up at the turnstiles 40 - 50 minutes before kick off? Most of the whinging on here has been from people who turn up 10 - 20 minutes before the match starts.

If you go on match threads you see people talking about the issues getting in way before then.

I was stuck in a massive queue against Leicester and it was before 12pm.

I think the checks are a joke. It’s those which cause the queues.

Do they really need to riffle through an 80 year old woman’s handbag looking for a flick knife?

The family zone should have a minimum games attended rule. Stops those who buy it cause it is cheap and don't come very often getting in instead of people who would come to all games but couldn't get a ticket over there.

From Singers you can see lots and lots of empty spaces.

I can see the family zone getting a bigger season ticket price hike than elsewhere come next season precisely because of this. Whilst missing mid week games for certain age groups is understandable, it does appear that a fairly large number of adults have taken advantage of the cheap family zone season tickets, and are not necessarily taking the child to games through whom they've got that good deal.

I can't speak for them but whenever I arrived 45 minutes before kick off, I walk straight through.

I've also arrived at 2:45 after finishing my pint in the Casino and missed kick off.
