Not as bad as the Annie Osborne ref, their own teacher Mr Chima cheating git when I played with Ernesford Primary in 82
Sorry to hear that. Mount Nod ref was a teacher for them I recall.
Anyone out there remember the two games;
Mount Nod 2 Stoke Heath 1 73/74 season Coventry Primary schools cup
Annie Osborne v Earnsford Grange (score unknown) 81/82 or 82/83
Probably too late to change anything, but an apology would help.

What's your prediction for our Charity Shield match?
Haha that’s too far in the future and I don’t have enough hunches at the moment. Just trying to channel my energies into getting COH re-signed and hoping Rowe from Norwich and Summerville from Leeds are snapped up by Premier League clubs in this Jan window.

Said to a mate who supports Ipswich yesterday that Sutton lost 8-0 to Norwich in the next round having had their day against us. Extremely difficult to pull off successive shocks. Great draw for us with guaranteed TV money plus a chance to progress (should we beat Wednesday).

I think some people are getting a bit ahead of themselves.

We had a great chance on Friday (despite some on here making it out like we didn't), which we screwed up. We aren't through yet, and they'll be taking this leg a lot more seriously now you would think, which means we also have to go hard in a one game knockout. I'm still of the view we can beat them at home, but the pressure will be on us now. Hopefully the two important league games they have either side of the replay will be a bigger focus given the fact they are still in the relegation zone.

Half cup empty kinda person?

Hillsborough is a tough place to play and bring Wednesday back to our place. We’re the better team, good home record against a team who’s away record is poor.

We’re strong favourites for this one.

All I'm saying is I'll happily let Sheffield Wednesday have an FA cup quarter final alongside there relegation if we are play off winners in May
Always cracks me up when people say things like this. Like the 2 are mutually exclusive.
And Somehow losing momentum, in not taking a great opportunity to get to an FA Cup quarter final, would somehow make us more likely to make a playoff final.

Yeah but what about Coventry winning the league or England winning the world cup...

Yesterday on the the FA Cup replay thread I said I hoped we would draw Maidstone for the next round and strangely it worked out. A few weeks ago, I said prior to the Leicester game that I had a feeling it would be like the Fulham match we had a couple seasons ago. Strangely enough Leicester took the lead and we know how it ended. Just hope these great vibes I’m getting last till the end of the season. I’m not usually a believer in superstitions, but I just have a funny feeling the stars are aligning and we could really have a very special season ahead of us. Fingers crossed!!

I feel some people are bigging up Sheffield Wednesday and their home form to paper over our inadequacies on Friday. They're not that good.

I didn't say I think we will lose the replay, I'm just pointing out that the stakes have changed, and that we really should have finished the job off up there to avoid it. Anything can happen in this game. We might be favourites, but supporting CCFC tells me to take nothing for granted!

Games stack up fast, no guarantees but even if it gives us a 5% edge or advantage at the end of the season at crunch time it may be worth it given how these things can swing on the finest margins.

Games stack up fast and leads to fatigue and injuries, this will be another three matches in the legs of our best players and will mean extra midweek matches at the end of the season to make up the fixtures so leads to shorter recovery times between matches.

Any other season I would say great, but we're in the best position now as a club as we have been in the last 20 years to gain promotion back to the premier league, just feel if we don't capitalise on this in the next 18 months the moment may slip that we've waited 20+ years for.

I'll still be cheering if we win but won't be too upset if Wednesday beat us in the replay.

We’ve lost 1 at home all season

You’re fixating on Friday’s result right now. Take it for what is, we drew a game we should’ve won and the consequence of that is that replay the tie at home.

That’s an advantage to us. Both teams have important fixtures upcoming.

Watched the draw and can understand their disappointment to be honest, three balls left in the bag and they get us instead of Man City probably the best club side in the world.
