It's one extra letter vs. four = 25%I'm confused 20% one fifth?
But but but he only scores against rubbish teamsSince Robins has dropped Godden and shown faith in Simms its amazing what having a bit of confidence in a player does for him. There was way too much chopping and changing.
Like I said about pages ago in this thread. Gotta be investing in a 22/23 year old than Godden.
Yes Simms has alot to learn. But my god lad can finish and the potential upside is there unless you are blind.
Chuffed to bits for him and he's answered back the critics with goals.
I'm confused 20% one fifth?
Yep, I have always said there's a heck of a player in there but he has some really rough edges to work out. For something as basic as his first touch to be as ropey as it is given the levels he's played at is crazy. I know it was something David Unsworth was trying to work with him on at Everton.
We have plenty of evidence of MR & AV dramatically improving players with their coaching so hopefully he can get that sorted & he could be pretty unstoppable.

No I've just lost some ability recently, used to have no problem solving algebra equations. Is maths not your strong point?
Robbie Keane was a heck of a player .Yep, I have always said there's a heck of a player in there but he has some really rough edges to work out. This thread is embarrassing. This forum is so negative. Hope.to god the players don't bother reading this drivel from.a load of arm chair, beer swilling twats.
20% smaller 25% bigger. Cos you’re starting my from different numbers and the bigger one includes the increase.
Well he should leave then. If he can’t handle criticism because he was shit then he shouldn’t be a professional footballer. Fans pay their wages so are entitled to criticise.I know it's funny and all, but people should be genuinely worried the relationship between Simms and the fans has been permanently damaged, due to abuse thrown at him throughout the season. He did that one shushing celebration again Bristol, and honestly since has barely bothered celebrating.
That's not actually his style, if you look back at his time at Blackpool, Hearts, and Sunderland. I don't think he likes the fans, and I don't particularly think he really wants to be here either.
I was wondering how long it would be before people who couldn't even see his attributes started claiming credit for his 'improvement'.I’d say the criticism has made him kick on
So if you can see someone is big and strong physically it means you can never criticise them if they are shit and half arsed?I was wondering how long it would be before people who couldn't even see his attributes started claiming credit for his 'improvement'.
Nothing wrong with a bit of ‘carrot and stick’.Who the fuck likes criticism from people who cant do what you’re paid to do. Of course he wouldnt be happy but to suggest he doesnt like it or the fans is stupid
You still can't see his attributes. They are not that he is 'big and strong'.So if you can see someone is big and strong physically it means you can never criticise them if they are shit and half arsed?
Why do goals against teams bottom half of the table not count? If you look at the teams he’s scored against they are all bottom half of the table teams and non league. He has improved recently and credit to him for that but when he starts scoring against the best defences and in big games then we can say we have a player.
Oh come on, of course it matters who he scores against. I don’t get why people just don’t say it as it is. If he scored a hat-trick against Leeds and also Leicester it’s a completely different ballgame. Why do goals against teams bottom half of the table not count?
If hes a match winner against every team in the bottom half of the table he will have 24 goals and we will have at least 72 points.
But that was the only attribute we could see earlier in the season. He didn’t show anything else, poor touch, lack of desire etc etc. You’re talking as if he has arrived, there is a hell of a long way to go for him to go.You still can't see his attributes. They are not that he is 'big and strong'.
I liked Simms from the start, despite him taking a while to get going. His performance away at Leeds was brilliant. He's now scoring, which was always inevitable once Robins & Viveash had more time on the training field with him.
He's a cool character and all this talk about him not wanting to be here because he doesn't celebrate madly is just utter horseshit.
And to think last season we had Waghorn and Walker....
You're just confirming what I said! You couldn't see his attributes. There's no 'we' about it.But that was the only attribute we could see earlier in the season.
The dynamics has changed,he was on loan before?I think you're wrong, personally. He does not celebrate goals here like he did at previous clubs, and there's no reason for that change. I think he's playing for his career, his teammates, and the management, but I don't believe he's playing for the fans.
He still gets a lot of shit, by the way.
The dynamics has changed,he was on loan before?
No just the he always had the option of returning to home?In what sense? He feels he doesn't need to celebrate with the fans because he's already signed permanently, or something different?
In his early days with us the general feeling seemed to be that he lacked confidence. Yet still a lot of fans abused him, when what he really needed was our support.
Despite this he has knuckled down, scored some goals and is showing why the club bought him in the first place. He is proving himself to be a very good player at Championship level and one day he may go on to play well - hopefully with us - in the Premiership.
I really hope that a minority of our fans don't drive him away.
He’s hardly ever been criticised in the stadium all I’ve ever heard is support for him. People are allowed to say what they see on an Internet forum. In his early days with us the general feeling seemed to be that he lacked confidence. It would basically be saying because I didn’t get love and cuddles I couldn’t score goals it would be pathetic.
He can't trap a bag of cement, a bag of sharp sand nor a bag of building sand.WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP GOING ON ABOUT HIS FIRST TOUCH, FFS!
Liam Kelly blasted a pass at him from five yards last night and all around me... "FFS, Simms!". Nutters.
He has to take the ball under more pressure than any other position on the pitch either in a 433 or 352.
His first touch is leading to goals. Are people just scarred by some ropey games earlier in the season?
Wright tried to tackle himself a few times last night and I don't remember Simms doing the same thing.
