Barry Bannan's legs will eventually go (he's about 57 or so now) and their side seems to revolve around him. Thought Sunderland might go for their manager (who does seem to have got them organised) but Wednesday will forever be hamstrung whist Chansiri is at the helm. The ground is falling apart (which given its history is shameful) and needs tens of millions spent on it, and he shafts fans with ticket prices, without investing properly in the team, or infrastructure.

Jesus Christ I had not seen the prices of season tickets there before. That is extortionate.

Think he set an incremental style price hike for them, where (for example) Week 1 £400, Week 2 £450,..... Week 7 £600. Did this early doors, when fans didn't know what division they'd be in, but if they waited to see, their ST had increased massively.

See link (scary!)

Have you had a run in with them at some point? Over the years I've never really had a problem with their fans (and they've had a lot to put up with). Just curious, as there are many fan bases who I have a lot less time for (having encountered most over the years)

The Palmer incident has really made me feel a lot of disdain towards them, could let it slide if it was just the one person who let them down - But Palmer was booed every time he touched the ball in the following cup game and then their lot seemed to justify what happened by claiming he was 'riling' the crowd - On top of that, to my knowledge the lad responsible was never brought to justice, got a club ban but nothing legal

Since then found them to be an arrogant and condescending bunch who have done nothing but slag us off and talk us down (Rich considering they have done fuck all since they kicked a pigs bladder around for a ball) and knock our support and manager, who had the cheek and audacity to defend one of his players for being racially abused

Dickhead fanbase, would rather they had gone down than Blues

I was on board with your reasoning until the last bit, then I bailed ;) 🤣
I don't like Blues but for all their faults, they have never racially abused one of our players so🤷‍♂️

If you were at Hillsborough for the League game that bunch of scruffs to the left of the away end spent the whole second half chucking coins and lighters at us as well

Was at the cup game on the Friday night (but had to miss the league game, as had a family commitment iirc) - i feel your distaste for them (and to be fair, if I'd have been in the firing line, I'd have felt the same. I also get the KP bit, too.

I was there and close enough to see some racial abuse of Sakamoto as well.

Lol guys it's embarrassing to hate a whole Fanbase like this.

I get club rivalries and to enjoy other fans misfortune etc. I do it with Leicester etc. but to hate a whole Fanbase cos of a few individuals is weird.

It wasn’t a few individuals though. It was large chunks of their fans on socials defending it as “he was asking for it” or claiming the fact some randoms on Twitter who weren’t Cov fans abused Dabo makes it OK, most of the crowd in the grounds booing him, their player turning out to have bullshitted about it, no notable response from the club, and most importantly not the first time it’s happened.

And the home and away ends are also cesspools? The point of my post was it wasn’t just Twitter. It was a coherent and consistent response from everyone at the club from fans in the ground to players to the club itself.

Players change. They were just being defensive.

Like Liverpool when Suarez evra thing happened. Now they have Palestine protests so hardly say they are racist Fanbase

Fuck them - It wasn't a few individuals, our players were booed for taking the knee (Something they chose to do to show solidarity to their teammate who was then booed by the majority of the crowd every time he touched the ball)

Ourselves or a less fashionable, or dare I say 'smaller' club would have been ordered to play games behind closed doors and I genuinely believe that

The admin on their forum had to close multiple threads too as they all descended into various levels of 'he deserved it' type comments.

Seen a lot of ours feeling sympathy for Blues for some reason

'Oooo they saved us' no they fucking didnt. We would have played at one of the other 3 options, it just so happened Blues were desperate for the rent.

Their fans ever since we played there have some sort of entitlement complex. They think they're the Madrid of the midlands when in fact, they arent even the biggest club in their own city.

They have attacked random Cov fans at The CBS and St Andrews, they smashed our place up, and they seem to think their owner is the best thing since sliced bread because he buys them a few Carling when in fact hes got them relegated and is using them as a vehicle for a property grab.

We all know how hedge fund ownership goes when they arent actually interested in the club and I cant wait to be 'I told you so' when it inevitably goes tits up

They got some cracking loan deals done as well, no way will those players be back at Hull for next season now. Could open a door or two for us.

He massively underachieve given what they spent in January
Nah Rosenior was the reason they steadied the ship first half of the season and had built great foundations. Their nutter owner went and got in a load of names on loan. Massive risk that didn't pay off.

You watch the owner go get a 'name' manager and fuck it even worse next season.

I said it in January. Never bet the farm. Slow and steady, stay within reasonable spending and it will pay off eventually.

They’ve always been like that; the affinity some of our fans had with them was just embarrassing.
