What’s the story with Moore? Clearly there’s something that happened behind the scenes.

Probably a slightly silly thing for Wilson to post as it's easily misinterpreted, but I'm pretty sure it's not aimed at MR or the staff. There's massive respect both ways with Moore & everyone associated with the club.
Yep spot on. To me it’s blatantly obvious what he means, but i'm not going to mention it on here.
It’s clearly aimed at the club, and if it isn’t, he must be pretty thick not to understand that that is the assumption most people would jump to on reading it.

Regardless with both off this summer it gives me hope Robins is going to make some decent investment with some new keepers.

Met Ben Wilson and he seemed a really nice guy, and has seemed a positive character about the place (going by City Unseen) Wish him well if he's off, and look forward to having a 6' 5" (or more) beast of a keeper come in.

We already have one, Cian Tyler if he can get fit. 🤕

The relevant thing here is that we’re unlikely to get fees so when they both leave we need to dent our budget unless we can get a free in. Both decent keepers - good luck to them.

Moore had some dreadful stuff in his personal life but not really fair to air it on here. He was dealt a shit hand

Is he any good though (genuine question, I've never seen him play)?
The younger keepers don't seem to have had any look in, even when our first team options have been off form
you don't win anything with kids.

Really, when It comes to Goalkeeper's , Pat Jennings,18 ,Gordon Banks, 22 and Pete Shilton ,17 when they played in the first team's for their club's.

Cian Tyler is 22 , hardly a kid 🤔

These threads are July levels of desperation. It’s going to be a long summer.
i do feel anxious about next season, tbh. not sure we will hold onto our best players. not sure we will spend what we need to spend. not sure we will get off to the good start that we clearly need to.
want to be positive, but yes, long summer ahead.

Why would a professional player do that when he is looking for another club. Think in any business sector. Would you employ someone slagging off his previous employer? I wouldnt

Wilson only won the golden glove because of the defense he had infront of him, fact.
We set up to protect him as much as possible. He did do ok in fairness but its the only decent season of his entire career, he was rubbish before and he reverted to rubbish at the start of this season. Robins never seemed to want him in for too long and rightly so, but Moore gave him no choice.

Footballers do it all the time ….. barbed comments on their socials is classic territory for an alienated player.

I'd be fucked off if I was Wilson as well

This rubbish that he only won the Golden Glove because of our defense the other year is nauseating, he was good in his own right
So the clean sheets that season were purely down to Wilson?

You don't win the Golden Glove if you are a shite keeper, simple - It is ideal having a good defence in front of you but you still have to be good in your own right

I would keep him over Collins every day of the week and get another goalie in as a No. 1 if I had my way, we won't tho
If its a straight choice then Collins wins every time for me

Wilson has been shocking this season.

5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders in front of him. TBF a blind man would have a good chance of keeping clean sheets.

He's has done OK here though, and its obvious that he's a good guy and a popular character around the club, but it's probably time for him to find a new challenge.

If it was that easy everyone would do it and surely a better keeper gets even more clean sheets if he's so bad. Simply people can't accept they were wrong about him and wouldn't have him before. The defence was used as an excuse for so long before some grudgingly said he was much improved. Shock horror first ever long rum and he got better. That's how it works generally. A couple of bad games this season granted and I was at almost every game but nothing on the scale of Collins recent run and yet a lot still wany to keep him in. Very strange.

Not to knock Ben but he's fallen upwards with us. He's 31 and only played >30 league games once, >20 twice and >10 4 times. The only season he hit double figures that wasn't with us was in the National League... North!
