I don’t agree that our transfer policy should be confined to making profits on players. We will never build a promotion team like that. You need a balance of youth and experience and a few top quality talents that are only likely to come from loans.

Signing too many prospects on long contracts will result in gradual decline as you can't get rid of the ones that don't work and are on long contracts. In the end you have a bloated and expensive squad of players who aren’t good enough. We need a balanced transfer policy.

I don’t know whether Rudoni is worth pursuing although I thought he looked by far their best player against us and seems a talented player.

The question should be will he improve the team not just can we make some short term money on him. We need to be far more strategic.
I agree, and that’s my point exactly even if I didn’t get it across well.
He is not good enough to vastly improve our eleven at the moment, meaning it would be wasteful to spend a large amount on him as someone to instantly be a star player. He would be more of a work in progress, as shown by many Hudders fans’ comments on him

Filip Marchwinski at Lech Poznan looks a decent player and has had a decent season. Only 22, predominantly a CAM, but can play up front.

May have posted about him before, but Polish left back Bartlomiej Wdowik. When I looked at him earlier in the season his defensive stats weren’t great but seem to have been a decent improvement, and attacking output is fantastic for a full back (albeit takes set pieces including penalties).

I hope the that is a BS or if not he picks Hull following his old man. Not a player i would consider going for if we are serious about trying to compete at the top of this league.

It wouldn't improve the squad and would sent a terrible optic in my opinion. Very backward looking step if anything comes of this story.
