While that is hot as fuck, you’ll be alright cause vegas is geared up for it, everywhere has AC and pools etc. I went to Portland on the weekend that happened to be the record Portland temperature in history in June 2021, 116 F…and nowhere had AC or anything

Vegas has reduced water usage by 48% since 2002 despite a population increase of 3/4 million people
The water features use recycled water on loops.
Its probably a model for water conservation to be honest

If we can crack clean power then desalination shouldn’t be an issue, the main problem with how UAE do it seems to be that they dump the resulting brine in the ocean. But surely they could just not do that?

A slightly odd take. Gets its water from the Colorado river mostly from Lake mead and mitigates the impact significantly.
But does everywhere that has a net negative impact on local water resources make you angry?
São Paulo, Mexico City, Beijing, lots of India and Africa.
Maybe they just shouldn’t live where there isn’t a shit load more rain than they use..?

Binks is an odd one. His slick hair makes him look like he could be either 22 or in his mid-50s. Got a touch of the Terry-Thomas / Leslie Phillips about him. Probably says 'Ding dong' or 'I say' to the ladies and calls underperforming team-mates 'an absolute shower'.
