Why the fuck would anyone want to give their rights away which protects us from the political parties is beyond me.

Nutters will vote for this, though.

Got no separable ground between the main two parties, voters will look for other options without understanding what they are promising to flit away by voting for them.

Which bits have they lied about?
Whu do so many people on here not read properly. I haven’t said they are lying per se.
There is lying, and there is not being open and honest. Acts of omission if you like. All of Streetings back peddling saying that of course manifesto doesn’t include the full costs of their plans, it’s a document for an election (not dissimilar to Reform’s approach). Clearly a lack of clarity and disagreements around property taxes

Can see reform making a killing
Think the biggest mistake was no change to the first past the post and a more grown up method of democracy
Think it’ll be shit for brains now with reform making gains
Oh well we can become the country that truss and Braverman and Farage and tice
An elite backwater without any influence in the world

Pete you must be drinking - its FPTP that stops parties like Reform and Green from gaining traction in parliament

You said they haven't been honest.

The opposite of honest is lying.

So when Starmer in the 2019 campaign was adamant he believed a Jeremy Corbyn government was possible he was actually lying?

No wonder you had to be told who to vote for when a fully grown adult,

Your mate shmmeee's rationale for voting Labour is that he thinks they're going to do something better in government that's what is in the manifesto

Yep he says they are lying

Fucking hell you're tedious. Constantly replying to other people's responses to me as well is really pathetic.

And? That's his prerogative, he can vote for whatever reasons he likes, not sure what that has to do with me.

Also if we're 'mates' then I guess that makes you mates with a load of right wingers!

The opposite of honest is dishonest. Not all dishonesty is lying. Failure to disclose hidden costs is not lying but it is dishonest. Failure to answer questions about hidden costs is not being open.

Not giving the real reason for extending the vote to 16 year olds is dishonest.

I said that they haven't been open and honest which implies communicating without out attempting to conceal or deceive. They are attempting to conceal and deceive,

I think that's true of all the parties and seems to be actively encouraged by the lobby media who think it's great politics. Remember back in 2019 when the Tories were able to tell obvious lies without question? The same thing is happening again (to a lesser extent though in truth) to Labour.

The weird circle jerk in here. Half of you because Labour are definitely going to break their promises by engaging in massive austerity because they’re Tories. The other half because Labour are definitely going to institute a single party socialist state and raise everyone’s taxes before spending it on Net Zero Straight White Men.

You can’t both be right lads. Just comes off as sour grapes.

Normal people: “I dunno, they’ll probably be a normal Labour govt”

SBT: “Hahaha! You’re saying they’re definitely going to do things and if they do im right but also if they don’t I’m right iamaveryseriouspoltiticalcommentator”.

That’s annoying me and pretty hard to manage
The answer of course is to be something and stand for something and not be beaten by greens on the left or Tory and reform on the right

After 14 years the answer is to win and so far he’s do that handsomely.

It's earlier in this thread, when I have said Labour is promising fuck all you haven't disagreed but then referred back to its past record.

I don’t disagree. I don’t think politics is as hard as you make out. You vote in Tories or Labour and they do Tory or Labour things. Half the shit the Tories have done isn’t in their manifesto either.

Like it or not this level of shite is what it takes to get elected. I couldn’t care less how many left wing peoples balls go untickled if we get a Labour govt. As I’ve repeatedly said whatever your flavour of progressive thought it’s a damn sign easier to lobby a Labour govt than a Tory one about it.

I know you want to be told that all the things you hold dear are about to happen, but I will genuinely settle for competence and compassion. It’s more than we’ve had my daughters entire life.

I’m just getting a little tired of the trolling from both the left and the right. The right I expect it, they’re thick as pig shit and losing hard. The left just comes off as posho navel gazing TBH and that’s fine but don’t pretend there’s some great moral purpose to all the fart sniffing.

'I want the Tories out, I will vote Labour'
'Oh so you want to see kids starving on the street eh? Sick bastard!!'

What you call posho navel gazing I call expecting the leader of the Labour Party to support striking workers, not to laugh at various public service professions, or failing either of the above, to just give his honest opinion.

Or is that too much?

This will be the 10th general election Ive been able to vote in and will be only the 2nd time I haven't voted Labour.

Statmer had my vote and lost it, no trolling involved, no naval gazing, I think he's an unprincipled and untrustworthy liar.
You don't, great, but not Starmer, nor any other party leader or the lackeys they surround themselves with have earned my vote.
