Clear and obvious they were using us. All the noise was coming from their side, even their assistant manager was commenting on it. Club will have had a higher offer now due to it being made public.

We move on.

And we'd do exactly the same if people were after ours, and we'll one day poach someone off another club from it. Dog eat dog innit

Marko Stamenić will not play in the Championship next season, although everything was already agreed with Coventry, but in the Premier League! Red Star General Manager Zvezdan Terzic today announced the possibility of the talented midfielder changing direction, and as Mozzart Sport learns, his next club will be Nottingham Forest.

The conditions remain the same, the Serbian champion will collect 5,500,000 euros from compensation. Zvezda had an agreement with Coventry, but Stamenić did not want to play in the second division of English football, so a new, much more attractive option for the player appeared.

"We had an agreement with Coventry, but we did not sign. He did not accept the Championship, he wants to go to the Premier League, a club contacted us, we negotiated, I hope we will sign a transfer contract with Stamenić and a club from the Premier League for compensation from 5,500,000 euros," said Terzić at today's gathering of the first team of Crvena zvezda.

The New Zealand representative came to Maracana last summer from Copenhagen as a free agent, since his free transfer was agreed six months earlier. Although he was under contract until 2027 and there wasn't much talk about his status, the offer from the Isles was one of those that can't be turned down.

Much more attractive... gross. Forest are a bunch of dodgy shithouses. Hopefully relegated next season.

If he’s got a move to the prem then you can’t really blame him. All the noise on the transfer saying it was complete was their end and Andy Turner always said deal been completed was wide of the mark.

I’d imagined we’d agreed a fee and tentatively personal terms but they were holding out for another offer and got it. Not our fault as we didn’t leak it or ever say anything done.

I’m sure this sort of thing happens every summer it’s just not played out in the foreign media like this has been but clearly that was all agent planting like the sheaf Luton Alan Nixon stories.

There was something a week or so ago saying he had hesitated about agreeing to join us, even before this development, so it seems he was never really set on it at any point.
Exactly and he's have only jumped ship in the summer

I never understood why so many of our fans were convinced it was a done deal? Too much noise was coming from their side only.

If he moves to forest he's out on loan in somewhere like Belgium in 12 months, if he wants the extra money fir a a year or 2 then so be it

he's not as good as sheaf is at this moment

It’s a shame as he did look good in the clips but in one the write ups by the New Zealand press they mentioned about him being an excellent passer but sometimes struggles when pressed on the ball. Must admit when I read that I was thinking I hope he can adapt to that as you don’t really get time on the ball in our league like you would in the Serbian league.

Guess we’ll never know now but we will have several targets onto the next.

yeah, if he does come he isn't likely to be in our best 11 to start with anyway

Probably could’ve have been decent but some of you have gone full swing since open thread.

“Big signing” to “he’ll be shit if he goes Forest”

Yea I doubt he's going from champions league with Copenhagen and red star to coventry city's bench
Why wouldn't he start on the bench if he was thought as currently not ready?

Wright cost more and was a sub to start.

I didn't say he would always be a sub, just that the scouting reports make it sound like he would need time to adapt
