I have no problem with Bidwell being first choice LB but JDS as back up does worry me.

If you look at the squad over the past couple of seasons and the expected outgoings, I guess this isn't far off - still think we are a RB short though.
GK - Collins in effect replaced Moore, Wilson going needs replacing, so new GK
RB/RM - Was Dabo, Kane and BNC, effectively replaced by MVE and Saka, so new RB
LB - Reid replaced by Dasilva
CB - Hiam, Rose, Pask and Drysdale, replaced by Doyle, McNally and Panzo, replaced and Thomas, Binks and Kitching, McFadzean left- needs replacing - new CB
Mid - Hamer, Kelly - only 1 replacement Torp- new Mid
CAM - O'Hare - new CAM
ST - Maguire replaced by Mason-Clark, Godden going needs ST.
So it pretty much matches where the holes have been over the past few seasons, but need another Right option

We need proper cover on the right side of CB. We never replaced Fadz. McNair would be ideal,

I agree and also another RB as last season we flogged Van Ewijk to the point of exhaustion. It is harsh on Latibeaudiere but he is one of those players who is good cover but not a specialist first choice in any position

We were only targeting McCallum last I heard. Now we have pulled out of that race I'd suggest, as it stands, we're going into pre season with what we've got at LB

The noises around Sheaf are still the same. He wants prem but knows full well unless someone offers the 20 we want he's not going. He's fine with that by all accounts and will try and lead us there himself. A consummate pro apparently

Godden and Wilson are 90% certain to be going.
Add to that Palmer who's got 1 year left and as stated before him and his agent think he's Messi so may not sign the contract offered to him
Bidwell, again, if a good offer comes in as he has 1 year left.
The one I was shocked by is Latibeaudiere. A certain ex coach of ours in the USA is evidently keen on him

End of the day that's a position we have cover in, even if it's not at the level we want, in Latibeaudiere, Burroughs and at a real push Eccles
If the right player comes up then of course but we have more pressing issues

The new contract we gave Godden was really strange.
Funny if we let Lati go as last week not only did i get grief for saying i wanted Binks back, i got grief for saying i wanted Lati moved on. Will be nice to give the old classic lazy response people give on here... "Seems Robins agrees with me."

Good for the bench though, due to him covering several positions, but if a good bid came in, I don't think we'd stand in his way.
I'd. spend any money we may get for him on a RB to cover MVE.

Need Bidwell & Palmer next season for me, so I hope they both sign 1-2 year extensions. Palmer's career has been revitalized, and clearly loves it here. Bidwell has been consistently very good for the last 2 seasons, and we have Dasilva who can provide more attacking threat if we're chasing a game, or switching to wing backs.
Godden and Wilson going makes sense. Both deserve first team football.
Lati - Only a CB for me, and not a starter. I presume Burroughs is being considered for back up to Milan
I was just guessing as we don’t normally sign players the day after announcing someone!
