Sunak going full Boris and telling us how angry he is at the behaviour of his MP’s and staff. Just waiting for the headline to break that Sunak had a bet on it too.

No argument from me.

One of the major issues in this country, imho, is a severe lack of social mobility and the disproportionately high proportion of privately educated Oxbridge graduates in positions of power and influence. This applies to both parties, though I suspect is more evident in the Tories.

If you're looking for a reason why private schools have charitable status and unique tax breaks, maybe that has something to do with it.

Technically Public Schools.

I am not aware of any European Country that taxes education so this would be a Brexit first!

Or it could just be that education was seen as a good thing. Perhaps VAT should be added to books.

On some of these polls you can put your own methodology in to manipulate the numbers. Lee Anderson has just been caught out doing it claiming he’ll win by a landslide so there’s no point voting anymore else, if you read the small print it it says something along the methodology is user defined.

I can’t decide what would be funnier. Sunak winning his seat or Sunak losing his seat. He clearly wants out, it’s the only possible explanation. If he wins his seat by election within 12 months would be a good bet.

Sunak losing his seat would be an ignominious end to his political career.
But let's be honest here. He was never voted in by the electorate as PM and neither was Truss, so they never really had a mandate from the people.

And yes I'm fully aware that we vote for a party rather than an Individual, but when Boris and his cohorts were ousted there should of been a general election called straight away, as his whole manifesto disappeared with him.

No one voted for Trussenomics!

Not sure how true it is but I do recall reading that you don’t have to be either a UK citizen and/or live in the UK to be a Tory party member. She could have been voted in by Russia for all we know.

I remember when Sunak got the top job, all the press were shouting about him being the first British Asian to become PM, but I kept saying he's an illegitimate PM, he was not, and never has been voted in and endorsed by the electorate, and neither was Truss before him, and yet we claim to be a democracy.

Imo it's simple, if a governing party vote out their leader who was elected by the people, it should immediately trigger a general election.

And the same applies to MP's who cross the floor, it should imediately trigger a by-election in their constituency.
