My reply was more pointed at the reply to Forests post that pointed at Olypiacos possibly paying a bigger loan fee than the transfer fee so Forest actually make a profit on buying him - thus coming out better on the ffp side.

I was replying to Mr Sunshine, who had jumped accounts and forgot to lose the brusque style of WUM’ing, before taking a sentence out of a few paraphrases totally out of context.
I had in fact made a post about how Red Star seem to be a self sustaining club who acquire prospects cheaply, develop them and sell them on, and how Stamenic has probably had bigger clubs keeping tabs.
In reality, he would probably struggle with the intensity of English football initially, but y’know. He’s a talented lad, and he’ll go far. I do appreciate a midfielder who can throw himself around, tackle well, go box to box and ping accurate passes around for fun.

tbf there was one linked on this thread a few days ago, and I think it did mention fading performance towards the end of the season.
Anyway, seems pointless concerning ourselves with this player now, regardleas of whether he's a world beater or rubbish.

Nope I don't think so. He looked like an interesting player at Blackpool but a bit of a luxury type. Wouldn't say no to him here but not sure if he would fit into our style.

The owner is very rich so the fact they have the cash is no surprise. The question is how they can spend it under the rules.
Last year they gambled on taking a points deduction if it meant they stayed up and it worked.

Ignoring all the FFP stuff, paying such ridiculous fees for players who aren’t worth it is going to cause problems further down the line. Clearly the PL clubs have decided to engage in some kind of FFP money laundering scheme with each other.
