Seemingly focused on wealth inequality abroad rather than sorting out what's going on at home. Have a long term policy of 'a world without borders'. Good luck with that.

It's a bit odd that members of other parties are being ridiculed on here, but absolute silence over the behaviour of some members of some other certain parties. One from the Greens is still on the ballot paper having likened Hamas to the French Resistance in the Second World War. Another called for Israel to be wiped out.

Like this thread, they're completely out of touch with most people in society and lack any real common sense.

So many of their policies wouldn't stand any scrutiny but don't get pulled apart because they're irrelevant.
They're a left wing version of Reform.
However, once Farage threw his hand back in with Reform, whatever anyone thinks of him, he massively raised their profile.
That's why they're getting it in the neck with their equally daft policies.
If, for example, Corbyn went to the greens, they'd be thrown right under the microscope.

Battery technology, charging infrastructure, generating capacity.
EVs are expensive to buy and expensive to run in terms of insurance, the cost of using public charging points and their incredible depreciation.
Whole life emissions and other environmental damage aren’t great. This rush for ev feels a bit like Gordon Brown’s endorsement of diesel.
Starmer’s mates in Europe have an EV mandate by 2035, the same as current government.
People generally don’t want them, sales are being maintained by companies and company car drivers. Take up in Europe is also slowing.

One Conservative, 3 or 4 Reform, 1 libdem, 20 odd Labour but ...
Roughly 30 per cent undecided.
The tory here had 52per cent of vote and big majority in 2019

You’ve just answered your own question there. That’s what newspapers do, they all have an agenda, that’s the game. This particular newspaper has been one of his biggest cheerleaders for years, the moment it criticises him he has a melt.
This is the same newspaper that ran weeks long campaigns to get both Starmer and Rayner arrested triggering police investigations (again) into both of them that ended in no case to answer. You didn’t see either of them flouncing off crying about getting solicitors involved.

Is it BS though? His links to Russia are hardly unknown. His “warning” was just parroting Putins warped narrative. There’s also no evidence yet that it’s damaging his campaign, no drop in polling has yet been witnessed. I bet his threat of legal action comes to nothing, he has a bit of history of threatening legal action when he has a melt. It’s the second time just in this campaign he’s threatened solicitors.

Most famously he had a melt and threatened the press with legal action when he was a MEP and they were breaking stories about his expenses and most specifically employing his wife on inflated wages. He could only threaten too as their articles happened to be factually accurate.

I see someone else has joined me in the Conservative option on the poll. To the disillusioned voters out there, I'd say v9ting Conservative is even more important at this election.

Labour will win by a landslide. My vote is pointless, it's always Labour here. However we need the numbers in the election to show there is a way back in the future. If Reform are the second option and the Conservative Party obliterated there is no way back. Reform at some point would get their chance. That would not only make us a laugh ming stock like Trump but is also very dangerous ( a la Le Pen), so be careful with your protest vote and I'd encourage spoilt ballots or stay at home over voting Reform.

Anyway sorry Rob you may not want to be here but I'm trying to keep Eva's thread as he intended but this deserved a reply!

So I'd say voting for them encourages a move right as much as voting Reform as it endorses the disaster of the last parliament. What the answer is I don't know - traditionally the Liberal economic policy on their right is probably what you're after, but I doubt you're a social Liberal

I agree on this issue. I think the current generation of EV's will be looked at in the same vein as diesels - lauded as an environmental gamechanger then later looked on as the devil after everyone's bought one. The process for getting lithium is very damaging environmentally and the amount of used batteries that will be need to be dumped will be shocking. Can see those 'bought a diesel? You could get compensation" ads coming back in a few years for EV's.

I think EV's (and possibly hydrogen) are the future, but they need to move on massively from where they are now.
