Used to always record the whole thing across all BBC channels, to try and catch it all, but looking at the line up lately, I find it's all gone drastically downhill.

Shame

It does look a shocker to be fair.
But what do we know about music these days, Otis? :cautious:

There's loads to do away from the main stages which doesn't help if you're watching on tele of course.
The problem is record companies dont really develop artists anymore, it's get a talent show winner, write them couple of tunes, bang out an album then fuck them off, rinse and repeat.

The pool of ge genuine headline artists is much diminished.

I went 89, 92 and 95.

I will watch some of it...bbc Iplayer is great...but it gives me massive mixed emotions.... I hate what it's become, I mourn my youth and my lost friends, but I still wish I was there...
(I never went) in 1984. It's still a point of huge regret although it was largely out of our (me and two mates) hands.
We were only going largely on the strength of seeing the Smiths - who I never did end up seeing although being a life long fan.
In those days you could pay on the gate such were the low attendances (although there were plenty of points around the flimsy fence that were breachable)
and rub shoulders with 30 or on an exceptional year, 40 thousand others!
I finally went twice in the early 2000's after doing a lot of other festivals for years prior.
Saw some great acts on those two occasions but I wouldn't be able to stomach 90% of what's on offer now!

Keane and Coldplay I’ll watch. Saw Keane live in Birmingham in May, lots of artists are fucking shit live - Keane is not one of those.

Can’t seem to get Coldplay tickets for the life of me.

Lineup doesn't look great.

Will watch a repeat of IDLES tomorrow, not much else grabbing my attention.

Loads of counterfeit Coldplay tickets doing the rounds, and in all kinds of different colours.
You'll know when you've got a genuine one tho cos they're all.....

I’m not a Coldplay hater, and have watched them at both V and Glasto, but why the fuck is this their 5th time headlining??

Even they must be slightly embarrassed.

Used to love Coldplay when they first emerged on the scene and bought their first two albums.

For me, a band that truly sold their souls and now I am a bit embarrassed to say I ever did like them.

And what the hell was that awful thing they did with that K Pop band? 😱🤮

I get people still like them, but my daughter and I and another friend too, all used to like them, but now can't abide them at all.

Been watching on iPlayer, Dexy's, LCD Soundsystem, and now Idles, the singer always looks like he's about to go 12 rounds with Tyson
