Amazing how many posts I've seen today on Social Media by grown men; having a go at Ronaldo for crying after missing a pen for his country at a big event like the Euro's. "A grown man crying ridiculous!"

Then I come on here and there are pensioners crying because they have to show proof of age to prove they are pensioners! 😂

I have no issue in being asked to prove my daughter’s age, perfectly reasonable. My issue came when they asked for highly personal and confidential info to be emailed to a random email address. When asked they couldn’t provide any info on how the data was going to be protected and stored; needless to say I didn’t email it but living close to Coventry, it meant only a small detour to the TO. Quick check of passport, no copy taken, box ticked.

What do you think they’re going to do with it

I take it you’ve never had your identity stolen….

I guess it depends how bothered you are about what data they already have. Would assume they have name, date of birth, address on the system already so just need to compare it.

One way to do it is cover certain information they don't need (driver number, passport number etc) if they only need to see name / date of birth and address.

Could also send the details separately.

I dont want to get in a long debate and you make fair enough/point, and each to their own pov. I’m sure Ticketmaster have reasonable security protocols in place, I’m not sure about CCFC’s generic email/storage system. Personally, I am probably too cautious, but having had personal data stolen, and work for a global company who have suffered similar in a major hack despite having expensive and sophisticated security systems in place, the consequences can be real. Anyway, each to their own; I’m happy with my approach, and you with yours.

FFS just send proof of age. When I posted this I thought it was funny.
Like Hobo said, if you don’t like it pay full price.
Oh hold on a minute, I wanted to do that when I renewed. They wouldn’t let me, said I was too old. 😂😂😂

No-one's saying you're lying. But too many people have taken the piss, if you've got nothing to hide, what's the problem?
I've just stated it's been 8yrs data on their bioks they have this, unless you think I could carry a fraud on for 8 year's?

Some people seem to be complaining a bit too much….. Asking for prof of age for an age related discount isn’t unreasonable.
I proved my age by taking in ID to the ticket office 11 years ago when I first became eligible for a concession. My date of birth hasn’t changed!

This boils down to one of two things.

1) You're hiding something - in which case, you're defrauding the club and should have your season ticket revoked.

or

2) You're annoyed that the club is actually cracking down on those that are defrauding the club, and clearly don't want us to be ran like a successful business, so you should have your season ticket revoked.

Hand your season ticket over at your convenience! :)

3) I don't think like most that it was an issue, I went to the football and wasn't concerned with what others did or do!

It's not an issue that people are costing the club tens of thousands, potentially into the hundreds by defrauding the club?

What’s that got to do with it? It’s the club that’s losing money not you as an individual.

You’re obviously annoyed but maybe take a breath and note how many people are offering counter points. There’s a reason. There is no rational or reasonable reason to be annoyed at this. It a spot check put in place, it doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been going, whether it was good enough before, etc.

Honestly save your energy for something worthwhile!

I completely support the club clamping down on people using the wrong tickets, however if they’re asking for proof of DOB from people who have already provided it (even if it was 11 years ago), are we to assume that the club has lost that information?

If that’s the case I can see why people would be nervous about providing it again
