Decent enough as a back up but not sure how much he played for Hull last year? I wouldn't mind K. Dembele who's on a free, he can play as a striker I'm sure is quick and skillfull.

I wonder if there will be any movement with Ntelo and Bernede this week but there's things going on the background 100% and with the club being tighter then a ducks arse on players we can only wait till they sign.

Karamoko Dembele would be a great signing I feel. Much better than Tavares!

People really need to step back and stop being spoilt. Quiet summer? We've released the club captain, sold a talismanic striker. Then we've brought in Rudoni for several million, signed permanently a young promising left footed cb, brought in a young goalie who if it works out could be our starting keeper for the next 5+ seasons.

As others have pointed out, other summer's we've brought in one uninspiring player. Come on now. It's amazing how quickly people forget and lose all appreciation. Sad really.

I think most championship clubs will think they need more signings through the door.

confident we’ll get the 2/3 more we need in, although granted they may be loans

Been a very quiet summer really. A bit of a disappointment as we clearly are in need of some more players. Hopefully some things fall into place in the next couple of weeks.
How has it been a quiet summer?

we probably needed 6/7 signings

and we’ve made four

if we’ve still only made four by August 31st then fair enough

It’s quiet in that there has barely been a murmur of anyone bar Dovin coming in for about a month. That’s what I meant. Good to get business done early but we’re still at net 0 with outgoings and incomings.
Yeah that’s fair enough, they’ll be working going on in the background I’m sure

Absolute worst case we’ll bring in a couple of loans that be middle of August time

Still think we’ll sign a Centre midfielder permanent

2 new coaches,
Adi exited
New assistant incoming
4 new signings
Complete overhaul of Ryton

Not really a quiet summer …..

If we do our business correctly bringing in 4 or 5 should be the norm … we won’t progress if every summer we need to inject 8 or 9 new players ….

it's appears quiet by comparison as the club isn't leaky like it used to be. There is plenty of time left in the window and I personally couldn't care less if there are no rumours and we only find out about a signing the day it happens. It's the best way to do business.

Add to that we've signed 3 youngsters for the development side who have significantly more promise than any youth we've signed in the last few years.

All the bed wetting when we still have a month of the transfer window to go, I'm happy that the club have mainly closed shop on all these leaks. In Robins we trust, we will have more incomings I truly believe this. PUSB

Tend to agree with this. Looks like the club is keeping things very close to the chest, especially after the Stamenic fiasco. I was afraid we’d lose Dovin after it was dragging on for weeks. Just have to be patient I suppose. What makes me think that we might still see a couple more in are the recent comments by Doug of “No comments” and Robins of “I could tell you, but then I’d have to kill you”.

Now you’re just overreacting to the overreaction 😂
I wouldn’t say Godden has been “talismanic” in recent seasons and losing Kelly is something that was sort of to be expected at this stage of his career. We then signed a previous loanee in Binks, hardly exciting, let a keeper go that never plays anymore and brought in Rudoni and Dovin. I’d say only those last 2 have been exciting additions to the team. I wouldn’t say it’s been radio silence but it’s also not exactly been chaotic and full of transfers rumours or interest in our players like Sheaf or MVE. The window so far has been somewhere in the middle imo.

Even now you cant let it go can you. Obsessed with what you perceive as mediocrity. We dont need rumours we need a proper recruitment process and only sign players if they are of the quality we need. Left to you we would announce to the world all our targets so you can get erect over their youtube clips weeks in advance.

What’s rumours got to do with it? 😂 We’re on about how quiet/noisy the window has been, not whether I’d love for there to be loads of rumours or not. I mentioned how there’s been a lack of rumours but I never stated that I’m personally for or against it. I’m just using it as a point to say how it feels like it’s been quieter than what CovLis86 said. Personally I think it’s somewhere in the middle tbh.

The whole window seems to have been quiet especially for the championship teams and above we seem to have done some of the better business in our league.
