Wright looked crap on the right last season. Can’t see him playing there. Maybe EMC will, but seems odd as he has consistently played on the left for P’boro and in preseason.

EMC played RW and LW an equal amount before he went to P’boro. MR will have a plan how to get everyone involved. My personal opinion is that Sakamoto will make a great impact sub. A player with his trickery, pace and energy levels will be nightmarish for tiring defences.

A decent striker is a must. Right now we only have 4 proven players across the front 3 (Simms Saka Wright EMC). We need another otherwise 2 injuries means we’re starting one of Obikwu, Tavares or Rapha which isn’t great.

That was class. The attacking football is excellent, as it was against Stevenage. Sakamoto and Ephron are going to cause chaos.

This is all without arguably our two best players from last season, Sheaf and Haji.

As everyone is saying, we need a few more but we have 11/12 top level Championship players in the squad.

I honestly think Torp could end up being top quality player. I just don’t know if Robins would start with a three off sheaf, Rudoni and Torp as it might leave us a bit light defensively and he’s naturally cautious. got some good options though

No. If EMC takes his L1 form into the Championship, he’s starting ahead of Sakamoto. Wright and Simms scored 19 goals apiece last season, they’re both nailed on starters.

I agree that Sakamoto is class, the other players mentioned are also class, classier.

We've got Wright and simms one as backup to the other with Obikwu as third choice. We have both wing positions taken care of so no need to shoehorn Haji in this season

Lesta if anything look to have a weaker squad than they did in this division. McKenna is one hell of a manager but would expect it to be a step too far for Ipswich.

I mean I agree within reason.

Wright hasn't played at all really this preseason so doesn't really have form going into the season, but it would be unfair to bench him based on that.

Top scorer last season and has looked better as the season went on. EMC has looked quality so far so it'll be interesting to see.
