Really fucks up all the complaints about the Leeds riots as well. Can’t say we’re importing this shit when it’s done in the name of the English or whatever.

I don’t have a twitter/x account and I watch plenty of football thanks. I’ll post on whatever thread I like thanks, it’s a free country. Given you’re the one who’s made stalking me a full time hobby it’s probably best you log off and find something else to do, like having a hard long think about your life and how you reached the point of being so obsessed with someone’s posting history on a forum. It’s pathetic.
I know you are but what am I. Proper weird bloke.
See you in a football thread some time?

I’ll tell you what. I’ll put you on ignore on the basis that you’re boring and you put me on ignore on the basis of going cold turkey is the only way you’re ever going to get over this weird childish obsession you have with me.

Yeh, except its not just me is it? Pretty much the whole forum apart from 1 or 2 who you lick out in the various threads (non football) you lurk in, think you're an absolute cretin.

They always have been. Not just on the issue of culture.

We've all seen the difference in treatment of Meghan Markle compared to Kate Middleton for example.

Back in the Euros for example, the press couldn't wait for England fans to be involved in a ruckus to report 'England fans shame' or whatever, but when Albania and Turkey were kicking lumps out of each other in the stadium on live TV barely a mention.

Even with the climate change divide, those who believe in it those who don't, sensationalist articles like "Britain to roast in 28° heatdome" when wildfires etc from temperatures just a few hundred miles away in southern France for example from 40° temperatures barely get a look in

Papers taking a political view has always been wrong in my book also. Journalists shouldn't be telling someone how they should vote

Just my view 🤷

The press, well certain wings of the press can certainly be divisive, that's a fact, but I can't see how the press were in any way responsible for last night's disgusting scenes in Southport. What did they specifically do last night to stir up violence? It was idiots like GIMOC and Syrus on social media spreading false acusations of the boy coming over on a boat, etc etc that stirs hatred and violence. As I said earlier, right-wing groups were planning their "protest" yesterday.

I know you have dismissed the EDL accusations, but when people start getting arrested let's see where they are from. Merseyside?

Those who definitely stir up trouble are ghouls like Farage, Tice, Oakeshott, Anderson, Fox and similar who really do know how to prey on people's concerns and anxieties.

I've seen photos of the actual local community having to clear up their streets today as well. How does any of this help them whatsoever?
How do the parents of those who died and those still fighting for their lives feel when they look at that. Do the "patriots" who descended on Southport yesterday to cause trouble feel like they achieved their goal?

Tommy Robinson must be right proud this morning by his pool in Spain.

As if those who rioted even gave a sh*t about what happened to those poor kids. I bet you 99% of them couldn't even have told you their names. The ignorant led by the dangerous. So sad for that community, and repaid by having those 'animals' rip it further to bits, then disappear into the mist. Hope they manage to arrest as many as possible and hammer them.

The police have said they talked to local people last night and they were told that the rioters were not locals.

I'm sure some joined in though.

My Mum's cousin lives in Banks. Wonder what she was up to last night...?

Oh yes, I'm sure they did. However, we all know - whether we care to admit it or not - that right-wingers travelled up there specially for one purpose. To cause trouble. Why attack a mosque? I know it's' a cliche to state these people are thick, but fuck me, are they thick!?

They are that thick. Some would probably want to see muslin banned from haberdashery departments, because it's only one letter away from muslim.

Wait til Liverpool fans find out that Mo Salah's real name is Mohammed Salah. 😱

I'm sure a lot of them were locals but the police probably would spin that line.

No they aren't thick, they're able to hack MI6 data and make up a story identify an attacker within minutes.

Didn't it go from MI6 to MI5.

That's fine though, because they are next door to each other.

Nah, to be fair, that'll be different as he'll be "one of the good ones". Like some of the fucking idiots on here spouting their vile racism. What's the betting they're still cheering on Kasey, Saka and our foreign players every week. Hypocrites. Thick hypocrites.

Very lazy from the police tbh

I hope I'm not sounding like GIMOC here, but it's very easy to say the EDL (who don't even exist) or 'far right' were involved, however when Muslims were rioting and setting fire to Leeds 2 weeks ago it was described as 'locals'

A lot said regarding 2 tier policing, but we certainly have a 2 teir press in this country now also
Absolutely spot on. It's easy to label people " far right" but it depends on the circumstances.
If my neighbour abused my daughter and I found out I might try and batter his door down and smash his face in whilst trying to get past a copper who was called out to deal with my anger.
Does that make me a " far right " activist ?
Perhaps if I took a mate with me it might.
Perhaps if the neighbour was of another religion , most certainly.

How about if you did it while chanting England till I die, and did it against the express wishes of your daughter's Mum? Would that be appropriate behaviour?

I don't know how anybody can a) think of excusing the original offence and b) defend this rioting. They're both shit and depressing events from shit people, and it doesn't matter if they're wearing a George Cross or a hijab while doing it, they're still shit people who are a disgrace. Personally I wouldn't be labelling anything but the police have. If they've done that without knowledge that would be appalling police work. One assumes they have some intelligence there however... but that's all by-the-by anyway.

All the time, the Mums' voices gets lost and the opportunity to help people cope with a horrific tragedy gets distorted by people wanting to score points.

Decent people who pay into the system. Are you happy with boat loads of men disappearing working at car washes, money given out to open barber shops, free gym memberships, clogging up the NHS, I can see it with my own eyes, if you can't you must be turning a blind eye to it all

Ironic. You talk about misinformation yet blamed Muslims for the riots in Leeds a couple of weeks back. Misinformation.

Misinformation is dangerous and helps to spread hate and fan the flames of hatred.

Maybe they should have just said "White British Christians" then rather than EDL?
Maybe the media should have reported it as white British men . That would be more accurate. Trouble is it doesn't have the same sensationalist impact which is what the media is all about.

If you take a look on social media there are multiple reputable news outlets now confirming it's true and pictures of his arrest

That's evidently what kicked things off. By all accounts it wa s peaceful vigil until he rocked up waving a knife about. What does anyone think w

That is brilliant. He's not going to want to watch that back or post it on social media is he. 😂😂😂😂
He'll most probably try and get compo

I would be very surprised if the police just reeled off "EDL" with zero knowledge and must have had info.

I would wager it certainly wasn't majority locals last night causing chaos.
We'll never know though will we ? It's just speculation.
Personally I think the idea of it being " rent a mob" is what most people would prefer. The idea that hundreds of locals are angry enough to smash up their own community makes this far worse.
But who knows ?

Funny how in this scenario we can't draw conclusions but for the Leeds riots it was instantly pinpointed to muslims
