And isn't the IBA a Russian led organisation?!That's the IBA, a whole different can of worms.

That's not the point.Ok - would you have allowed Lennox Lewis to fight Barry Mcguigan
I would love that. Scores of 112-88 are ridiculous.Weird that competitive athletics usually celebrate the true freaks of the world with biological abnomallies (think I’ve spelled that wrong, apologies!), yet here we are, guessing whether people are trans or not and trying to infringe on their rights to compete.
What next, stop tall people from playing basketball?

Would be much better with a 2 nil, or 3-1 scoreline.
Anything that helps keeps the score down and makes it harder to get the ball through the hoop, gets my vote every time
I'm sorry but hasn't the binary argument the whole time been that if you have a vagina you're a woman and a penis a man.
Now we're being told that you can be born with a vagina, have a cervix and still be a man?
I am incredibly confused.
I have to confess, I am swaying on this one. It's really confused me.She was born in Algeria, which is Islamic and gender transition is strictly illegal. So she must be a woman.
If she has some genetic abnormality I don't see how that's any different from basketball players being tall, swimmers having long arms & big hands, sprinters having lots of fast twitch muscle fibres etc.
Susan Boyle anyone,or similar, there are examples out their I think?Yeah it’s pretty weird we’ve had years of “I identify as” jokes, yet now the same folk are acknowledging all of the things that exist in-between. Don’t understand.
Irrevelant. We're talking about a sex classification. Also, for people banging on about "safety" she has a record of 37-9 with a 13.5% KO ratio... she's hardly dominant in the sport.

I get both sides of the argument. Both sides make decent points.
Really not sure how I feel over it, but it does seem a very valid point that she was born a woman and still is a woman.
What do people propose they do? Put her in another category? If so, which?

No because they're completely different weight classes...So again you’d allow Lennox Lewis to fight Barry Mcguigan as they are both men and have arms and legs
No because they're completely different weight classes...
Yeah, that's the way I see it.
Not the way the Mail are reporting it though.
She WAS born a woman, right? And has continued to be so.
The Mail are calling her a biological male
That was the surprise to me that they were similar in weight class, it's needs another classification if that's the case!!No because they're completely different weight classes...
According to who?The point is it’s to do with unfair advantages
The Algerian boxer is a biological male. This is not even disputed.
According to who?
Having DSD doesn't make you automatically a biological male. The athelete has DSD. The reason the passport says female is because where she was born means you can’t be allowed to have male on it.
This is not even denied as a fact.
Having DSD doesn't make you automatically a biological male.
Anyway this is tiring
But then the women that have beaten her already, are they double freaks and also should be banned? For me the key point is the safety of the other boxers.
It’s not Khelif’s fault that - for want of a better term - she is a genetic freak but I don’t see how she can be allowed to compete.
I know that seems unfair and I genuinely feel sorry for her but I think it is the only solution.
So males can have a vagina? She is a biological male - that’s correct
So males can have a vagina
But they have a vagina no?Females with normal levels won’t have internal testes.
DSD Regulations call out athletes as biologically male - Sports Integrity Initiative
Last week, two Namibian athletes were excluded from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after being assessed under the DSD Regulations of World Athletics. It has been widely reported that the DSD Regulations (PDF below) seek to exclude ‘women’ whose testosterone levels exceed 5nmol/L from international...www.sportsintegrityinitiative.com
But they have a vagina no?
I can understand if we are saying they are intersex or whatever they are called but I can't see a binary definition that they are male.
Good question? Is having internal testes any different to having half the lactic acid production that Michael Phelps had. Should he have been banned because he had that advantage?
So biological males can be born with a vagina, a cervix and are able to birth children? They are classified as biologically male
How were they wrongly categorised at birth? The real story is that this person is male. The regulating bodies prefer to silly shally around without having robust categories for sex. Without these there is no women's sport. It appears these 2 boxers have been wrongly classed as girls since birth, like Caster Semanya was. Tests have revealed the mistake. They are males with a very rare DSD. A DSD is simply a disorder that means an individual has not developed in the normal way, e.g. elements of both sexes or missing.
So much misinformation. They do not have abnormally high testosterone for females. They have normal testosterone for a male. This indicates they have testes and likely XY chromosomes. So male advantage which renders their participation in women's sport unfair.
So biological males can be born with a vagina, a cervix and are able to birth children?
But it’s not as clear cut as that is it? The athlete has aspects of both sexes so depends what you use to categorise? They are classified as biologically male
