If she has some genetic abnormality I don't see how that's any different from basketball players being tall, swimmers having long arms & big hands, sprinters having lots of fast twitch muscle fibres etc.

Put the hoops up 6 ft higher and set a hard 5ft5 height limit. Make it so that dunking is 3 points and long shots are 1. That will sort the wheat from the chaff. I want to see proper athletes.

There is no category.

It’s a situation where there is a clear and distinct advantage gained. It’s why in particular Eastern European athletes we’re banned as they were bunged full of testosterone to create advantages

For me the key point is the safety of the other boxers.

It’s not Khelif’s fault that - for want of a better term - she is a genetic freak but I don’t see how she can be allowed to compete.

I know that seems unfair and I genuinely feel sorry for her but I think it is the only solution.

The real story is that this person is male. The regulating bodies prefer to silly shally around without having robust categories for sex. Without these there is no women's sport. It appears these 2 boxers have been wrongly classed as girls since birth, like Caster Semanya was. Tests have revealed the mistake. They are males with a very rare DSD. A DSD is simply a disorder that means an individual has not developed in the normal way, e.g. elements of both sexes or missing.
So much misinformation. They do not have abnormally high testosterone for females. They have normal testosterone for a male. This indicates they have testes and likely XY chromosomes. So male advantage which renders their participation in women's sport unfair.
