XI: Dovin, Bidwell, MvE, Thomas, Kitching, Sheaf, Eccles, Rudoni, Wright, Saka, Simms

Subs: Collins, Lati, Binks, Dasilva, Torp, Palmer, BTA, EMC

Sexy football.

Whether that is peoples starting XI or not is somewhat irrelevant but I've listed 8 subs. Who misses out the match squad? If Torp starts it's easy, Eccles to the bench (covers RB & DM) and Lati out.

A nice problem to have, made harder if we do get that C(D)M.

With that squad, I think it’s fair to say you wouldn’t be overly disappointed with any of them starting. Ok, there will be preference against Palmer, Dasilva, Lati starting maybe, but the drop-off in quality compared to what we’re used to is much smaller.

Never seen anybody list an XI with the LB before the RB. I don't like it. Please don't do that again.

Think Anfernee Dijksteel would be a cracking signing either on loan or permanently as he's been transfer listed at Boro. Realistically don't think we're gonna be able to attract much better as RB cover given MVE. Dijksteel can play both RB and CB, and is dutch. Tayvon Gray would be my pick for a younger player on a permanent deal. Turning 22 on the 19th, starter for NYCFC, Jamaica International, can play RB and CB, eligible for England, makes sense on all fronts.

Actually think Mitja Ilenic might have to edge on Gray at the moment as starter, might be more appealing for Gray to move.

Noticed that many of are new signings pray before the game and are thanking god on their instas.

Has Pete had a word with the man upstairs to get us promoted?

Has the man upstairs been brought in as a regular starter though, or will he just be called upon around the hour mark if we are chasing the game?

Out of interest, do you tend to watch alot of different leagues? If so, what teams do you consistently watch?
I don't have as much time anymore but I tend to watch games of players I know or have heard to be ones to watch, and from there I identify alternate players on that same team and Its just a snowball effect that has been growing my knowledge for some years now. Obviously don't have time to watch full matches of every player though. Obviously watch a lot of Cov, some Barcelona, and Persepolis FC. Other than that not any other team "consistently". The Nordic leagues are a quite interesting watch though.

Seems McNally is available from Burnley. Would still like to see us in for him. Gives us more aerial presence and speed. It's ruthless but he's better than Lati and probably Thomas I think.

McNally was a decent loan and was ideal for us at the time but Thomas is vastly superior and has a much higher ceiling.

Not sure he would even suit our system or style anymore either. Not particularly good with the ball at his feet and as shown last season clearly uncomfortable in a 4.

I don’t think a day goes by without someone on this forum mentioning the word ‘ceiling’

No chance …. Leicester were the 6th highest payers in the premier league when they were relegated.

But if we are theoretically spending £75k a week on player then we could do much better than a squad player at leicester ….
ok sorry
