Many more positive's than negatives watching that performance. We look a very good side and will be more than good enough in the championship to compete at the top Good run out didn't deserve to lose that's for sure but all is looking on track to take a step forward.

Dovin was at fault. Wilson or Collins would have been crucified.

A simple near post corner should of been dealt with far better. CH and Keeper equally at fault imo.

Other than that early fuck up, I thought Dovin looked good. He's composed with the ball at his feet, keeps play flowing with quick accurate distribution, and looks a very capable shot stopper.

Once we get a run of games with a settled defence in front of him I think he'll be a big fans favourite.

I don't think you could expect too many masters at Championship level, but Jack of all trades are pretty handy.

and we haven't played our defensive MF (Sheaf) in front of them for the last couple of friendlies, (both against higher league opponents)

So it might be worth reserving judgement till the season is a few games underway.

Fair comment that we haven't played them this season for 90mins ; my point here is that we played that back 4 last season and they are the same players, the player playing in front of them will also be the same if it's Sheaf or Eccles or both. We panic when the ball comes into the box, especially at corners as we did in the last 10 games last season when we lost our way.

There's no doubt we will score a load of goals but based on last season the defence isn't up to it IMO.

Made superb noise for the numbers they brought .Well done to those who didn't join in the 10 German bombers in the air ( despite the aid of our drummer) Think my disapproving stare helped prevent it continuing. Overall, a decent workout and happy for no injuries🩵
