The police have made a massive error not getting involved when that pub was being attacked.
If they had, they might have got away with their stand offish approach towards other events, but they'll be heavily criticised for all of it now and they'll find it very hard to shrug off the 2 tier narrative.
I think it's going to be very investing at the weekend. Glad we're playing fairly locally.

It's a fair trek from where this all started to that pub.
If a balaclava'd mob of that size of city fans tried to make their way from the train station to the ground on Saturday do you think they could manage to do it without the police getting involved?

I've not got involved in the 2 tier argument because I agree with some points made about it and not others but they really have messed up here.

They need to be making a lot of arrests today to try and restore some confidence because it's a dangerous narrative that's growing all the time and they're not helping themselves.

Anyway, finding this all pretty exhausting so logging off this thread.

I’ll freely admit my view isn’t balanced on this, but I don’t think it’s the time for a balanced view imo. I’ll be out there this week if needed, but I personally think the attendance of the far right will fizzle out very soon and the reactions they have caused in other communities therefore will also fizzle out.

Apologies to any posters I’ve argued with in the thread it’s nothing personal @Nick @Evo1883, it’s just a subject that particularly riles me up. Also @MalcSB called me a twat but that’s true so you can have that one @MalcSB!
